I stumbled across this last night after reading the liner notes thread and seeing Amanda Ghost's name again. I'm not sure if anyone has posted this or not, but it's not a bad read.

I'm glad she's finally set the record straight with the whole Amanda Ghost thing; not a co-writer, just the inspiration. Now those random stories about her being a co-writer makes sense.

Makes you wonder where those FAKE copyright credits come from, when people were INSISTING that A.G. co-wrote "Ghosts Are Gone"...

That interview was great; thanks Dark Angel!

She's back to that "somebody stole my tapes" BS.
I think she was more honest in the interview where she said that she made copies of them and gave them out. But I'm glad to finally know what this mysterious "song vault" is. |

Well, back in a radio interview in 1981, Stevie went on and on about the "stolen tapes", concerning "Sorcerer", "Cathouse Blues" and the rest of her songs on the bootleg album, Almanac. The radio interviewer even played part of that early "Sorcerer", and Stevie sang along with it!
But this collection of songs (which includes "Secret Love") is one that Stevie said was actually stolen from her Vault. So, maybe she's right this one time. I think she changes her mind about the demos being out there as the moon strikes her. "Sometimes it was heavenly... Sometimes it was too heavy..." |

Thanks for the link to this, Dark Angel. It was one of the better interviews I've read lately. Jamie

Oh God. Stevie's read Twilight. Doesn't surprise me, but confirmation that Mama acknowledges that grim little series' existence just depresses me. I'd rather read the back of a Dettol bottle for three solid hours than thumb through that pubescent slush.

And really, I try not to judge other people's pastimes and interests. Mainly because it would be way too easy for anyone to judge me for spending this much time on a Stevie Nicks fansite As long as I don't have to partake, I'm down with anyone and everyone going twi-crazy.

Even still, a little of the immoral can be just as fun haha. Anybody who thumbed through my book collection would probably make a few harsh judgements of their own, especially when they come across my deep love for Sylvia Plath and Byron lol. |

I'm not going to lie, when I was reading her answer to the Twilight question I kept saying to myself, "Just stop talking, just stop.."
I myself read the Twilight series right when their popularity totally spiked (before the first movie, about 2 years go I guess)... but I was 15 years old. I read them all in like a week, and then about a week later realized just how badly written they actually were. Went to see the movie with a friend and made fun of it and laughed the entire time because it was so awkward and bad. So it doesn't bother me that Stevie's read them - I just wish she wouldn't talk about it because there are so many Twilight haters who are going to judge her for it lol. Although, I did appreciate the fact that she said she really only liked the vampires because of the forbidden love aspect. That kind of redeemed it a little because it reinforces that Stevie's just a big romantic, she's not sitting there drooling over Edward or wanting him to suck her blood anything.

I love this article. Good questions about the new album and not the same old questions and pat answers we've heard 100 times. Now, if we only had some new photo shoots.

She claims she is now at her thinnest since the mid-nineties???? What??
I don't think she's been this thin since The Dance |

I think she was probably counting The Dance as the mid-90's. She was really thin in '96 too, or at least, some of it.

Interesting that she indicates that she only read the one Rice book.
