That makes zero sense. I know all of this is water under the bridge at this point, but I think im going to call and try to talk to a manager in security over there tomorrow. I'll post what I find out, if anything.

I guarantee you they knew it...I am already in the process of a formal written complaint against one of the security guards and have had multiple emails with their head of security. They knew and were just showing their muscle despite what Stevie wanted!

I just got off the phone with one of the security managers who was there at the show that night. They were aware of what the Edge walk was. I asked him why people were told to get back to their seats during Edge, when in the past at this same venue, people were allowed up. He told me that the last time Stevie played the Collusium was in Dec. 06, and since then the stage has been modified. The steps that lead up to the stage used to go all the way across the stage from right to left, but now they just come out in the center in a half-circle shape. This modification took up room between the front row and the stage, so there is less space now for people to be standing in that area. They used to have more space to work with before this modification, so they would allow more people down. He said they have to abide by fire safety regulations, and allowing too many people cramming up in one area is a violation. I asked if they had a set rule for Stevie's show for allowing "X" amount of rows up, and he said no- that they just play it by ear. Interestingly, he mentioned that when Elton John plays there, they allow the first 3 rows up (at the request of Sir Elton) to go ON stage for the last song he plays.

He also told me that they didn't know Stevie was going to play for sure until Saturday. He said the tour manager had mentioned it would depend on how she felt that day. So she still is/was fighting illness.

Anyway, he was really nice and I'm glad I got some sort of explanation.

By every usher and security person; No Cameras, No Photos, No Videos.

It was only later in the show when people started taking the occasional covert pic, &, vid,

So the quality & quantity is probably pretty low.

I only managed about three good pics, &, no vids.

Time will tell.
