If Fleetwood Mac decides to make a new album and/or tour, will Christine be involved? Yes or no? Why? What do you think?
I would love to see her again involved, at least for the last time.

I would love for Christine to return for something, whatever she would want to do, i.e album, tour, a one-time FM show perhaps in London(*hint,
) However Christine retired over 10 years ago. Ten years after retiring from my job I wouldn't want to return.I know the point of this question is to provide conversation/discussion which is certainly something this forum needs, but I wish that fans would accept that Christine is no longer a member of Fleetwood Mac. ![]() |

I know that a lot of people don't think it's possible, but I see it as a possibility, and even more if it's the last FM Album/Tour. Maybe nostalgia will bring her back!

My sense is Christine is done with Fleetwood Mac for good. I don't think she'd want the chaos even if the band offered to record in her home studio in Wickhambreaux. If you read the articles and watch the interviews from her '04 solo album, In The Meantime, she just seems done with the whole Fleetwood Mac thing. She only made In The Meantime because she was hanging out with her nephew, who was an art student, and they sort of organically started noodling around with music together. They'd get together and cook, talk, and play around in her home studio. Over time, an album's worth of songs emerged. Even 7 years later, I'm still in disbelief we have In The Meantime. I guess stranger things have happened, and Christine could shock us all and record with FM again. But I can't see the politics of Fleetwood Mac playing along with that either, though. Just my rambling two cents.

Oh I think anything is possible. Everyone seems to forget that Chris retired from touring after BTM, but was somehow convinced to do The Dance... then she "retired" from the band altogether. But come 2002, she was ready and willing to record again, but not tour and the Mac would have nothing to do with that. I think she'd definitely record with them again. I doubt she'd tour, but you never know...

I think we very nearly got Christine on SYW and it wasn't her that pulled out of that in the end. It broke down on FM's side because they said that she couldn't record and not tour. But who knows what Lindsey was doing with her on the phone. Mick said he'd listen to them talking to each other over the phone and I just have to think they argued. So . . .
I don't think there would have been Meantime at all, if her juices hadn't started flowing after aborted SYW negotiations. That being the case, I could certainly see her recording with them in the future. If not an album, then a couple of tracks,. Michele |

She's getting close to 70 now... I just can't imagine she'd want to go back to FM at this point in her life. I just look at the scattered interviews she's done this past decade, and she talks about not even liking going into London anymore. She just seems like she wants to live out the rest of her days in quiet seclusion behind her high walled country estate.

It's a real shame Christine has yet to return... and an even greater shame that she's likely not to. I think SYW made it clear that this is a band that is much more cohesive and much more balanced with her in it. I liked SYW, and I like that FMac is still around... but it has been quite different without her, and ultimately, I don't think it's been an improvement.

^I wonder how the logistics of that would have worked out? Reportedly, Chris sold her LA home in '98 (I wonder what part of LA she lived in anyway?). I guess she would have had to rent & furnish a home in LA to make the album with the band? I suppose that's what Mick & John will have to do when the next FM album is made now that they both live in Hawaii. It's the pointless little logistical matters like these that occupy my mind.
