well........ same ol, same ol.... After going into the 3rd song I knew it, same setlist.. no change in cloths, no boots the entire show Lindsey & I hung out, we had drinks before & after show (Lindsey girl I wanted 30 min. for you ;-) we both were hoping for something new. You could tell she was sick esp. in her eyes, there was a edge walk, I was in 4th row seat 1 so it was a bit easier to get up there, did get a shake! And no friggin doubt, security were dicks!! I did see allot of people rocking out all over the place.

IF she gets over this sickness fully within one week, then yes I see changes on the horizon.

Thanks for the quick review!

I think it's funny that first there's NO EDGE WALK then rockalot says there WAS an Edge walk.

Default She needs a new management team

To the looks of it, she should have canceled, but good for her trying to push through. I just hope she is not pushing herself too much this weekend. It doesn't sound like she is fully ready.
I think, right now, she really needs a new management team who understand her more than Liz does. Curt, that would be you and Christopher. You both seem to know her more than she knows herself.

At this time in her life every day is precious, especially now because she is not well & pneumonia is a serious illness! Did'nt Elizabeth Taylor have this before she died?

I don't buy the "she's been sick and hasn't had time to practice the new songs" line. Wasn't the Webster Hall show supposed to promote the new album? I can't imagine she would have done this tired setlist at the Webster Hall show with only Secret Love added as a kick-off to her new cd.

Elizabeth had seriously health problems for about 20 years, though. And she was also nearly 80.

Stevie does need to rest up - pneumonia is nothing to mess with nonetheless and if she doesn't allow herself to rest immensely and recover she is just going to prolong the illness. I hope she gets feeling better soon.

Me neither. And it's not like she'd have trouble singing anything other than Wide Sargasso Sea and Italian Summer...

There was talk that Sheryl Crow was going to be at Webster Hall, and maybe Dave Stewart--that would allow for more songs. Here's hoping!

There was a edge walk, one never forgets the warm handshake from Miss Nicks! Not sure why someone said there wasn't, maybe due to security being disks! I had heard how hard they were last time Stevie was there & saw first hand myself and for that reason will never go back, Stevie or no Stevie! Lindsey had a bad experience too with security & there tribe rules!?!?

One last note, she really put her emotion in Love Is.....very powerful!! Oh and she mentioned after GDW about pulling the Az. desert spirit to the desert hear in Indio, don't quote me, something like that!

Now time to leave Indio (town sucks!) and off to Palm Springs to party & play~!!

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I actually feel bad for Stevie. She should have just cancelled these first few shows when she's obviously sick. I'm not thrilled with the set-list either, I paid a lot for my Las Vegas ticket, but I just wish she felt better. Then we could criticize everything, and I wouldn't care.

I'm thinking more about the Wiltern show--it is Stevie's birthday, and it's in LA. If Stevie does bring Sheryl Crow and Dave Stewart in, it seems possible that Lindsey might join them. It's close to home-- they are on good terms, and it's good PR.

Yeah, they thought that gal was dying of pneumonia when she got the oscar for Butterfield 8, fifty years ago.

Hey sorry guys. Stayed up a little late last night, drove home early this a.m. and got some zzz's.
It was a disappointment to say the least. As you can see, the set list sucked. I mean I wasn't thinking she was going to perform 4 new songs or anything but perhaps 2? I was also praying that she would pull just one out of the archives but in my dreams, right? Also keep in mind though this particular crow was there to hear the hits, nothing more.
To begin with, I did have first row but it was the very end seat on the side isle and I couldn't see sh*t. I really didn't worry too much at first though because I made buddies with security and it didn't seem like it was going to be too rough of a crowd. I thought for sure I'd be able to stand in front of the stage but that didn't even come close to happening.
So as someone mentioned they had the center section of the first 10 or so rows completely blocked off for the Indians. After the first song many of them were not in their seats so the security guard let me sit in an empty seat on the very end of the Indian section and as they started con ming in one of them yelled at the security guards and said "get her out of that seat, she's not an Indian". I was just slightly offended to say the least.
There really isn't anything special to say about the show or Stevie. She did speak a few times but I couldn't understand a word she was saying. She definitely did the "let's get this party started" line and the trilogy intro for Love Is. Several times I tried to go stand up there and they came and told me to go to my seat when I was only like 5 feet from it. The last time they asked me that I said, "Can I even dance in my seat?" and I was pissed when I said it.
I didn't notice a whole lot about the crowd because I was in the first row but there were very few hard-core fans. I don't even think I was able to enjoy the music very much because I was so pre-occupied with the fact that I was stuck in my seat and couldn't see her. Very obstructed side view anyway.
So overall, it kind of sucked. I mean she seemed to be better but definitely not in tip top shape or great spirits. Am I mad at Stevie? Hell no. Did I spend a sh*t load of money to barely see a terrible set list? Yes but I'd do the same thing all over again for the love of Stevie.
Thank God for the birthday show. I have no doubts it will make up for this. I hope you guys have a great time tonight in Vegas!

*It wasn't a real edge walk IMO but I guess I could be wrong. It was very brief and it's not like they let everyone rush the stage.
