6 is a good result.Happy for her.
At what point does the album get considered a success or a flop? I mean if it drops further down next week,flop..could it go up some more after some TV exposure?

I'm expecting it to drop next week and I don't think that makes it a flop. I think that's just the reality of today's music sales. With the occasional exception of an Adele or a Lady Gaga, most artists just aren't selling that many albums anymore.

I would consider the album a success already because the vast majority of reviews have been over-whelmingly positive, the album is going to debut in the top 10 on Billboard, and in spite of being 62 and not having an album out for 10 years (*and* the depleted condition of the marketplace), In Your Dreams still managed to sell nearly 48,000 it's first week.

Hits DD's data is always incomplete.

Billboard - the industry's bible - just published the In Your Dreams sales numbers: 52,000.

1. Adele, 155,000
2. Beastie Boys, 128,00
3. Now That's What I Call Music, 124,000
4. Fleet Foxes, 91,000
5. Jennifer Lopez, 83,000
6. Stevie Nicks, 52,000
7. Sade, 37,000

11. Fleetwood Mac, 11,000

she did a little better than hits daily double had stated on their site yesterday.

Stevie Nicks' "In Your Dreams" -- her first studio album since 2001's No. 5-peaking "Trouble In Shangri-La," enters at No. 6 with 52,000. It's the Fleetwood Mac member's fifth top 10 on her own and seventh solo studio release.

Right outside the top 10 is Fleetwood Mac's 1977 album "Rumours," which re-enters at No. 11 with just under 30,000 (up 1,951%) thanks to exposure gleaned from the May 3 episode of Fox TV's "Glee," which dedicated its entire hour to the album. Of its almost 30,000 haul last week, a full 91% were downloads. The week previous, the set sold just over 1,000 total copies. This is the highest re-entry for an album since the Rolling Stones' "Exile On Main St." was reissued and came back on the list at No. 2 on June 5, 2010.

Paul Simon got a huge boost from some commercials they have been playing with the reviews and the fact starbucks had him as a single of the week and the CD in front of the registered. I think that would be good for sales if WB would get her featured at Starbucks. The people buying her records are us old people with disposable income to spend on stuff like triple soy mocha-chocolata frapacinnos.

Stevie did awesome on Debut reaching #6 with 52,000 sold I hope we get a tour this summer. Congrats Stevie on an awesome debut.
and Fleetwood Mac Rumours is at #11 with 30,000. I think they should have done some songs from Stevie's new cd and that would have gone thru the roof I think.

Default Stevie #6 Billboard Debut

A slight disappointment - but with the competition I say she did pretty damn well...

I'm a little disappointed, as well. If everything was pushed up a week earlier, I think we would have had a better outcome. Congrats, though!

She actually exceeded my sales expectations... I didn't think she would exceed 50,000; but I was hoping she'd get in the top 5 on Billboard. I just wasn't counting on Adele's 21 having the teeth and staying power it's exhibiting!
