it went to #3 briefly today for Gaga, but it went back up soon after, she has been #2 all week. Doesnt' seem like Amazon tells the story though.

I have no clue where it's been before, this is the first time I have checked. Sorry for bringing up old news!

In other news, Rumours is #2 in iTunes while IYD is #19.

Well speaking of that, doesn't this all get reported to Soundscan: WB Pre-sale, iTunes, Amazon and Barnes & Noble?

The album isn't going anywhere. Stevie is not the kind of artists who will sell a lot of digital copies. Her market are those fans who want the physical CD in hand, liner notes and all. She's holding strong on Amazon and B&N and has more promotion coming up. She will be fine.

Maybe if a miracle happens, this will be her grammy album.

I agree with those who now believe that Stevie is a 'cult' artist. She will sell to the faithful and it appears there may be enough of us to allow her to keep a record contract and record more albums if she so chooses.Truth be told Stevie has always had the makings of a cult artist IMO.She just happened to fall in serendipitously with the right group of people at just the right time in rock history so she became a very successful mainstream artists for quite awhile.she has shown some recent signs of understanding this and perhaps making some moves to nurture her cult .I'd say this new album is one.The DVD for night of a thousand Stevies is another.

I agree with this.

She also seems to be going through a period where everyone's just gushing about her, and she's getting a hell of a lot of well-deserved praise. There's now more articles about "Rock Legend Stevie Nicks" than "That cokehead witch with the goat voice" compared to a few years ago.

Not to argue, but I bought my digital copy the day of release, and it has all the photos and liner notes. I thought it was pretty nice! I'll eventually buy the CD, but I was just too lazy to go get it the day of release. haha!

Oh I did too, and I think a lot of us did. It's just her audience on the whole prefers the physical copy in hand. JLo, on the other had, probably doesn't move too many hard copies vs digital copies.
