She looks so stunning when she wears other colours; particularly that red ensemble.

Not to go back to the hand thing because this discussion makes me sad but seriously guys, it's gone beyond fashion statement at this point. There's something going on under there.

Agreed.

Is it terrible that I'd rather nap than watch Stevie sing "Secret Love" yet again, and with a less-than-stellar voice on top of that?

Just saw it... I think she sounded great! The music sounded way better on Ellen than Oprah... Stevie's voice seemed fine to me.. Even her speaking voice didn't seem off from what it normally is... Maybe it did slightly, but she handled the song just fine.

As for the long sleeves and hand gloves... Personally I think she's just hiding wrinkly skin.... That or she likes to be cozy, those clothes are probably light as a feather so there's probably not much warmth with them...

I think someone said it's probably arthritis? And that's why she wears the gloves; more support. Or something along those lines, that would make the most sense, one would think.

All the speculations of the gloves and the sleeves, I'm just not buying all the theories. Maybe the gloves are just a piece she likes and it's just a phase. Wrinkly skin...? I think not. That close up of her hands even though she had the gloves on looked great. And all the people that have shook the "velvet paw" in the past few years to my knowledge never said anything about that. And skin cancer...that's a big no. I think it's just Stevie being Stevie.

I'm so glad you posted that. I was wondering if I was hallucinating and saw a different episode than all the ones bashing Stevie (again, and predictably so).

To my eyes and ears, Stevie looked beautiful and sounded great! I much preferred this version of "Secret Love" to Oprah.

But I guess some people will find any excuse to trash Stevie: record sales, her appearance, her voice. Some even going so far as to insinuate that Stevie cancelled the NYC concert out of laziness and petulance, claiming Stevie really didn't have pneumonia, and that she's a liar and maybe just had the sniffles.

Thank you for posting this. Wow, I am reading some pretty harsh statements on the performance today. Even though you could tell Stevie still was congested, she sang her heart out and she was having fun. She looked more at ease and in a great mood more than the performance on the Oprah show. And Damn, she looks really good from recovering from a recent flu/pneumonia. Damn, when I am that sick, my nose gets red and dry an cracked.. well let's not go there... but you know what I mean. redness under the nose from blowing it so much, etc.... She could have canceled but didn't. She is a trooper to do this today and to have it on TV, not just perform. So, you know how a camera can not be kind if one is sick. So kudos to Stevie and the band for doing a great job.
