Lindsey looks very sleek and poised in that picture and I can't stop staring at Stevie's flawless hair.

Ha, that's Lindsey's magazine cover pose.

Except for Christine, in the top one it looks like they were all taking a group mug shot.

Look at the back cover of our first album cover and then look at this. That's what two decades does to ya!

And he doesn't look much taller than John here - or perhaps it's just that his hairs not as high!

Default hair - video

somebody tweeted about this interview from GoS 2008 time frame. one thing i noticed after all discussions here is the hair - his hair was trimmed and combed down at the time. is this what you all like?

I don't care about high hair, but there's that little ridge thing, right where his hair starts after the big patch of bald forehead. There's a short little ridge and then high hair. Maybe it could all be of uniform length, just so that no one trips and falls when walking through that mire, due to the height differential.

Watch your step, please.

He is just such an attractive man, even at 61 he's still handsome as ever. But when his hair is long and crazy like that it is just sooooo distracting. Luckily his voice has stayed pretty much the same because I care more about that

It's strange because his voice was rather ragged during stretches of the SYW tour and I thought he had really lost it. Once I heard Shut Us Down on Elizabethtown and then the rest of the UTS album, I really thought it. I thought he croaked because he had to and it was not a matter of artistic expression.

But then his voice was so much better for the GOS and Unleashed tours. I don't know if he had a problem which healed, if he worked with a vocal coach or what, but I really was blown away by the quality and forcefulness of his vocals and, frankly, he sounded better than ever at the Saban theater.
He might not have as much range, but you hardly miss it -- which wasn't true for the SYW tour.

He really sounds beautiful on Soldier's Angel. I actually feel tearful about it. I think, "Yes. Yes, these are the two who fell right in and started spontaneously singing Say You Love Me vocals behind Christine. They're still here."

See I haven't heard UTS or seen much of the SYW tour so I didn't know that. But I definitely agree with you about Soldier's Angel. I heard that and thought that he sounded absolutely amazing, which makes me even that much more excited for Seeds We Sow!
His speaking voice as well is very similar too. With Stevie, hearing just audio you can sort of tell what time period it is from, but I watched the video posted above and if I close my eyes I can easily picture that as 80's Lindsey!

yes, his voice was really strong and sounded great at Saban. i actually dislike his young voice, although he had much larger range and could sing almost anything. i prefer his older, deeper voice, and agree that what we've heard two weeks ago was really impressive.

re whether he had some kind of a problem with his voice, in that video i posted above from 2008, he sounds and looks to me like he may have, but maybe he was just getting over a cold... either way, both his talking and singing voice used to be much higher, and other than on just a few songs (like SHN), i prefer his deeper voice of now.

I love Lindsey's younger singing voice. His young speaking voice is kind of if you listen to him on things like the Tusk documentary. Oh my goodness.

Yes, this is what I want. But actually, he could even have it a teeny bit high but do something about all those wild frays. There's like a lump and then they all start sprouting every which way in different directions. I mean, Dr. Seuss could have written a book about life inside all that hair it's so distracting.

But do men really want to look petite next to other men? Maybe that's why he's so glum.
