How the Christ did I not know this about you? Friendship fail, Louie.

I'll forgive you if you share some of it with me

Seriously, I would love to. My mom's an editor and I've always loved seeing a work in the early stages. And if you're as talented with fiction as with poetry, I don't think it will need much work.

I've been planning to start a novel for a long time now. I always have ideas swimming around in my head, but putting them to paper is a nightmare. I had an essay published, but anything else is a long way away for me, so I admire anyone who can do it.

I was hoping you'd respond to this!

My problem is that EVERYTHING I write is hugely autobiographical... I've written one short story that was entirely separate from my own life and I had people tell me that they felt "disconnected" from it because they could tell I wasn't emotionally invested in the plot. I was very intellectually invested in that story, more so than anything else I've written... but I think I'm chained to the emotion of my writing. It's officially branded me Well, I hope not.

ANYWAY, I'd really really appreciate it. I'll let you know when I have something to show you... At this point, I'm making myself a fairly general outline of what I want to do and then moving from there. THIS IS SO NERVEWRACKING

I'm happy to help with this Dani, I've done some editing work in the past (not for fiction though).

I'd be happy to; I need a project for this summer, as school won't be in session. I love editing more than just about anything. How dorky does that make me?

I would like to read it as well. I already read a few poems you wrote in the writing thread
Some are really cool but a little hard to understand (still improving my english)
You have a very own and diffrenet way to write and i like that.
What happened to that thread anyway, i posted a few poems that I wrote but somehow there is not happening much over there .
I followed you on twitter by the way , hope thats all right ? I am ladylillith there.
I know what you mean with autobiographical. That often happens when i write as well, i try to change things a little so that not everybody knows that it is me
But i think sometimes you cant change it , its obvious and it would change to much.
Besides my songs and poems i wrote a fantasy Story but i got stuck after like 80 pages and a novel that i just began and some really autobiographical stuff from things that happened a few years ago.
Anyway would like to read your story as well

Hello Ledgies!

Just thought I'd say hey to the Chit Chat Ledgies. I mostly stay "up north" though I do browse both the Stevie and Chit Chat forums.

JTIS,

I just heard a dream that I heard the radio remix of Moonlight at some hockey game. Hhaaha. (if they end up doing one )
It started off "Her mystery" and then some cool beat came in.

Ok, so I discovered tonight that blasting Stevie's "Ghosts Are Gone" on my earbuds while flying through the high canyons west of Austin at dusk on my Vespa was a totally spiritual experience. And yes, my Vespa is actually quite quick... I've got one of their fastest models which can go highway speeds .
