I hope she's okay for those shows (I think she has 3 scheduled next week?)
Anyway, it's not like we weren't expecting it and-frankly- the thought of her performing straight from having pneumonia (which I've had and which wiped me out) made me very nervous for her.
Now, I have a debate with myself. Go to Atlantic City anyway (not like I can't find something to do over there;-) or save the vacation day (and money) for the summer...decisions, decisions.

Thats what it came down to for me... I know I would gamble WAY too much and potentially lose, so I figured I would save my money and vacation day for another time.

Borgata tells me they are still in the process of confirming the status. She always comes back there later in the season or tour anyway, so I would reserve the time for then. Plus, she would have a healthier show to look forward to anyway.

^ Since I only had 48 hrs to cancel my hotel, I just did it now. This doesn't look promising and even if they DO have they show they will not have had time to rehearse anything new so it would be same old setlist that we got with Rod Stewart most likely.

I will cancel my Vegas trip if she cancels. I will ask the hotel if they would just credit me the two nights for future nights when Stevie rescedules. I really hope I don't hafta do that though...

A friend of mine said the Borgata show is officially "postponed". not sure where she got the info, but I guess that means it will be re-scheduled at a later date. She plays multiple times per tour there anyway, so I guess they will add it into the regular tour dates.

I believe it. The May 6 show has been yanked from the Borgata website. But strangely enough I still have not received any sort of e-mail confirmation.

Looks like it. I went to the Borgata site about 90 mins ago and it was still up there and now it's gone.

I called the Borgata and here's what they told me....it's "unofficially postponed" but that they're waiting to hear from Stevie's promoters for "official" word as to what their plans are before making an official announcement, "hopefully by this afternoon".

I don't want to be negative guys but I'm not having a good feeling about AC, especially after what was just posted. Also, as someone noted previously, she will have had no time to rehearse the new material and you know how Stevie is all about rehearsing. I also just read the Poptart interview that said she cancelled a "slew of dates". That sounds like more than Webster Hall and Borgata so I'm not even sure about next week's shows. Again, no practice time. I'm not getting my hopes up about my Indio show a week from Friday because I know there's a chance it's not going to happen. In all honesty I would be disappointed for myself and everyone else who had tickets to these shows but I'd prefer to see her at the top of her game when she's feeling well and there is no way she will be there by next week. So for now I'm leaning towards no shows and if it happens I'll be happily surprised. I hope our love is healing her...
