Damn, you're killing me. Want a job as a personal chef, I'll send the Leer jet! No, seriously, this is the kind of meal I cook on weekends (my wife's days off). Do you share your mac recipe? My grandmother made the best but I haven't tried a great M&C since she passed away. Woah, that was close. I almost busted a tear.

Jannie, I don't think I could eat that. But I could try.

My household will be having spaghetti with olive oil & mizithra at Old Spaghetti Factory, where we're celebrating somebody's new car!

Mmm, I embraced my hillbilly taste buds!

So, everyone knows I go to Nashville all the time. Well, I always eat at the same places, every trip. This time, I decided it was going to be a new place every night.

So I got on Urbanspoon, and researched a bunch of new places. Tonight, I went to a restaurant called Rotiers, for "southern cooking". I had fried chicken gizzards, with onion rings, a house salad, and rolls. And it was delicious. The best gizzards I've ever had(yes, I'm sure 95% are wanting to hurl now).
They've been in business for 65 years, and it doesn't look like the decor's been updated since they opened!

I'll be going back, every time I'm in town, now!!!

Last night went to our local Spanish/Mexican/Texan restaurant.

It's quite bizarre really as it's in the middle of nowhere, - so we're seated at a window table in a really authentic and traditional feeling Spanish place and have views of rolling English moors (think Wuthering Heights country).

Anyway it was deelish and HOT HOT HOT!

To start we shared a Chilli Con Queso - HOT dish.

Then the hubby had a Steak Chemichanga (that's the spelling they use!), and I had a Chilli Burrito - REALLY HOT dish.

So to cool down we both had Mexican Deep Fried Icecream - to DIE FOR!

Had a long detour drive back home thru the countryside to let it all settle.

Well, in the past we have only found great Mexican/Spanish restaurants when we've visited the USA. It's really nice to now have one literally on our doorstep!

I remember eating great fajitas at a Mexican restaurant in The Forum at Caesars Palace, LV

Me too. On Saturday, I had Thai, and ordered 5 on a scale of 5. I was on FIRE(in heaven!). On Sunday, I got chinese carryout, because this place also has sushi, and I was craving both. Ate a ton of wasabi, and put about a tablespoon of this chili sauce in my box. It was hotter than ANY hot sauce I've ever had. I was coughing violently for about 5 minutes, and sweating profusely!

Perfektion!!!!

^^^^EXACTLY as I typed perfektion, YMLF just came on Sirius!!!!! What are the odds????

HOT chicken. Okay, I'm inspired by these "Hot chicken shacks", that they have down south.

http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/47/51143...hack-Nashville

Read the review from Nov, 2011!

Anyway, I diced up the chicken early today, and covered it all in ground red pepper, with some italian dressing. So it soaked the red pepper in all day. I sauteed it with some water chestnuts, and had some fresh asparagus on the side. Deeelicious!
