Why they keep saying former Fleetwood Mac singer.I did not know she quit the group. The group is on break. Also the story did not mention the Atlantic City Borgata show,I wish these people get the facts right bafore the report it.

Well in this article, I was referring to them reporting that Stevie has "the fly"

But, it's poor journalism any way you slice it.

If they cancel the Borgata it would have to be either today or tomorrow. They cant cancel a day before the show...well technically they can but they normally dont.

I am. I'm heading out to buy the album now and I'm happy about it but I can't shake my disappointment about the show. I wish I hadn't listened to the RS stream now. At least I'd have something to look forward to now.
I totally am bummed still. Even worse today than yesterday. There was just so much momentum building up to this week and it's beyond disappointing. I'm in denial tomorrow's show is not going to happen. It was going to be such a once-in-a-lifetime experience and again, I am sooo sad for Stevie that of all weeks she is sick this week. The timing just couldn't have been worse..

I know EXACTLY what you mean...still excited for the album, but I only listened early because I was going...now I wish I hadn't heard it...ah well, what can you do?

See, I'm trying not to panic, because this is what makes me think she must be pretty bad. I just don't see her missing any of this for the world. I'm one of life's catastrophrists anyway, but frankly, I'm worried about her.

Post And Rolling Stone posts this...

Here's what Rolling Stone has said about the canceled shows:

Stevie Nicks Cancels Promotional Dates
Stevie Nicks has canceled a string of appearances in New York because she has come down with pneumonia and the flu. Nicks was set to appear on the Today Show, Good Day NY and a concert at Webster Hall. "I want to apologize to all my fans and hope that we can reschedule and of course I hope you love the new album. It’s for you," Nicks said in a statement. [Press release]

I know Ed (Hejira) and Michele both went to London during Unleashed, so they have me beat. Up until now, I'd just gone from northern to southern California a few times for Stevie.

I have to agree with you.I was thinking about this now. if they had the Rod tour and her cd release spread out a little bit.Her schedule was so tight and run her health to the ground like it doing. She need some breathing room between shows.I always say hell with the weeknight shows .Just do friday saturday and sunday only. The last minute on the fly planning that she does .she cant schedule weekends only. Also those outside shows like Jones Beach and those shed amps dont do justice to her health too.I've notice she was doing great in the past few years by skipping the outside venues and just sticking to arenas and casinos.

You couldn't have described how i was feeling better. I felt like I had some golden ticket for tomorrow night and now it's just a piece of paper that's worthless. As much as I'd like to think they will reschedule Webster Hall, I don't see it happening because of the unique timing and promotion that was behind it. And supposedly ticketmaster is refunding already.

I'm still on the fence as to whether I think the Borgata show will be canceled. On one hand, I'm sure all the equipment is already here on the east coast, so it would just be a matter of getting her and the band here. And the idealist side of me wants her to commit to coming and not letting this get any more off track. But the realist side of me thinks it's crazy for her to put her health more at jeopardy for a 2 hour show 3000 miles away from home. And if she's not feeling great, I don't want to witness a performance that is a good try, but just not up to par, especially in the midst of a huge media storm.

I think we will know by this afternoon what's going on.

I realize in the grand scheme of life, this shouldn't be anything to lose sleep over, but right now we all just feel punched in the gut and the wound is fresh. And I feel awful for everyone who spent moneyon travel accomodations, took off time from school/work and rearranged their lives to make it.

I hope there is an upside to this happening. Hopefully destiny will write the right ending on this one.

Basically, I'm pretty sure it was someone from a radio station and it said a phone conference was rescheduled. It had to have been tweeted before Saturday, too, because my search results go back that far and it's not in them.

Sorry I can't be more helpful, but I swear on my life that I saw it and thought it a bit odd at the time.

Loz
i remember seeing that tweet some time at the end of last week too.

btw, my MIL is just a bit younger than stevie and a heavy smoker, and she gets pneumonia quite often (every other cold she catches ends up w/ pneumonia).

sounds like a great plan. do you think that Sheryl's tweet that she's in NYC means that she'd be at Webster w/ Stevie?

also, since Webster was referred to as a star-studded party for SN, who else do you think would've been there? (sorry, don't mean to dig deeper in your fresh wounds, just curious if anybody knows more)

EDIT: Sheryl just tweeted she'll be a mentor on AI tomorrow night. and i see you all already have that info in the AI-related thread.

Not sure if this has been posted yet. She's in London.

Courtney Love had tweeted that she was going to see Stevie at an "exclusive show at someones apt" but considering how wacky and mixed up she is, I think she may have been referring to the Webster Hall show
