I guess I'm trying to convey a little bit of a "warning" to those
who may not realize it that we have to be realistic here and this
may be a sign of things to come. That's one reason why
I feel so emotional about it. You wouldn't believe the damage I've
seen that crap do to family members; and from what I've seen, when
one ages, it happens every time, with no exceptions.
If you listen closely to "Destiny Rules," Lindsey says something to
Stevie flat-out about "the breathing problem," and that was years ago.
I really don't want to be a bummer but this may be initial-stage
emphysema. The lung cilia never grow back.

People have posted screencaps from Destiny Rules where she and Lindsey are smoking from a pot pipe (I believe in Mark Needham's office). And she's said quite a few times in interviews from the past 10 odd years that she hasn't touched any hardcore drugs since 1986.

Ahh yes, I remember that. It was during the sequence where they sped everything up for a time lapse. I thought it was just Lindsey hitting the pipe though?

I have tickets for that show, and I'd assume she'd cancel it also. I don't see how you can recover from pneumonia in 2 days. Even if she's feeling better, she wouldn't be in the best form vocally I'm sure, so I think I'd rather they cancel to be honest. I just hope they announce it soon so I can cancel my hotel reservations.

I was thinking the same thing with pneumonia should would at least need a week to recuperate. I had bronchitus 2 weeks ago and get all the time never got pneumonia before have with my allergies and allergy induced asthma it sucks big time with that pneumonia is even worst I am sure.

I feel so sorry that Stevie got sick! I know she has Asthma & mix that with Pneumonia & it's real hard to breathe. My friend is a nurse at National Jewish Hospital in Denver, CO & told me that Stevie was there in the 80's & 90's for an Asthma episode. I hope she gets well soon!

one has to recover from pneumonia before one can recuperate. if indeed pneumonia, there will be a good length of time before she is feeling good and well again.

Wow I'm sorry to here this news.The first thing is for a speedy recovery for Stevie.She got take care of herself.She's 62 not 29.Thats the most Important thing.Who In the hell wants to go to work sick.I know I dont want to.She 's probably very upset and crying about us missing her.Which I know she is.She loves us.Ok I hope Liz and her reschedule the Webster show later and also if the AC show if she's still sick which she might still be by then.Since I do on the fly hotel reservations or travel plans.I dont have to worry about canceling them.I do really feel for you Ledgies that have to travel a long distance like Dani.The New York trip would of not bother me if Stevie canceled last minute on Wednesday.Since NY is only about 85 miles from me.Anyway my friend who is coming with my is sick with the stomach flu and he had a real estate brokers class which he forgot he had set for the 4th.Also He knows the suffering with pneumonia .he's been through it.The Webster site still has the concert up and it does not say its canceled yet.also according to their calender I see some weekend dates open.If Liz and Stevie reschedule I hope they do it on the weekend.By thursday I will worry about the AC show.Because I'm schedule to leave then.

mama needs a lot of rest, and a lot of vitamin c. I wonder if she takes vitamin c supplements when she's out on the road...that would do her a world of good especially at her age...

if you think about it, doesn't she get sick on almost every tour that she goes on? she got sick in the unleashed tour, the syw tour, the tisl tour...the enchanted tour? (i think?)

so maybe it's glad she's getting this sickness out of the way before the tour actually starts?

but really - first and foremost we hope she's taking good care of herself.

Pneumonia can kill you, particularly if you have a preexisting illness or any kind of autoimmune disorder. It's also particularly dangerous in---I hate to say this--but the elderly.

That's why they beg older folks to get flu and pneumonia vaccines each year. I've had pneumonia once and I was just 15 at the time and it kicked my ass. It took me a good month to feel like myself again.
