Whoa, there--Nicklive didn't say it will happen, just that it might: "There have have also been hints of a American Idol appearance." Nickslive is a fantastic site but I don't think they have any concrete info here (nor are they pretending to).

Well, maybe Stevie WAS slated to appear as the mentor, had to cancel due to her illness, so the producers scrambled and found Sheryl Crow instead?

Agreed - but if you were born in 1990 or later like some of the contestants, Sheryl Crow might very well be a legend. She's old enough at this point that some youngsters might think she's 'classic'.

So its not Stevie its Sheryl Crow is the mentor on Idol so I don't need to watch it then thank god I watched last season and that was it for me. I haven't seen it yet and so glad Stevie is not doing American Idol but if she does will watch it.
