I can't see Stevie out-right calling it "terrible" I could see her saying something rambly like "Not as powerful as my version because she was so young when she recorded it, and she hasn't gone through all the stuff I had, I mean, by then, I was still recovering from the Lindsey breakup and there was that whole thing with Mick..." etc etc.

Plus, I REALLY can't see Stevie calling someone else insane. The amount of times she's been called it, I doubt she'd use it as an insult.

I am by no means a Lindsey Lohan fan, but I don't get why Stevie comes down on her so hard. If there would have been cameras and paparazzi around during the height of Stevie's career she would have been painted in IN AN INCREDIBLY unflattering light- Sex, booze, abortions, drugs, teetering on the verge of insanity. She has luckily been able to avoid that for the most part and control her own image. If she would have been stalked by the media like Lindsey Lohan it would have been ugly.

Mmmhmm.
I really can't think of anything Stevie's said or done that bothers me as much as the repeated rants on Lindsay Lohan. Lilo is a gorgeous, talented girl who's obviously having a rough time. But she's trying to get better and scared as hell of going to jail, so I don't see why anyone feels the need to kick her while she's down. I would hope everyone would go easy on her, but especially Stevie--she's basically been there.

But while I don't want to believe Stevie said it, I think she probably did

When I saw her talk about lohan in an interview, there wasn't really any venom. She just wants Lohan to get off the drugs. This interview is absolute BS. The voice of it is completely National Enquirer and it's a real shame. They do anything to get at Lohan and its hurting Stevie.

I don't think she really said that about Lindsay Lohan. She can be firm and she obviously has an opnion about Lohan but I don't think she'll say in public that she (or anybody else) is insane and laughs about her 'going to the slammer'. She's not cruel. If anything I remember her saying she wanted Lohan to clean up her act and get off drugs but that's about it.

Oh, I love the fact that her doctor was asking her about her and Lindsey. This is a practitioner after my own heart.

Please, she and Lindsey may look at each other during GYOW with eyes slashing full of anger sometimes, but most of the time when I saw them on the SYW and Unleashed tour they were looking at each other during the shackin' up line and smiling.

As for the Bob Dylan comment shutting Lindsey up for a second -- that's not because he didn't have anything to say. It's because he was biting his tongue. He was quiet because he had blood in his mouth.

He was probably biting his tongue from telling her "but Stevie you're no Bob Dylan".

Oh please. If she was that irritated by it she could have said no to Lindsay recording and releasing it. Plenty other artists have said a big fat no to others covering their songs.

Well, I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have heard it before she gave them the rights to record it..

That said, she probably should have realized that Lindsay Lohan is no singer and judged accordingly before giving away the rights if she was going to care.

'Misquoting' is a term PR people and celebs use when what they really mean is 'I did say that, but I also said a lot of other things, some of which make the bit you quoted not come over quite so bad'.

I see no reason to believe SN didn't say these things. They sound harsher than what she's said in the past. Maybe she was tired or grouchy or whatever? But she probably did them.

Now, what REALLY annoys me about this article is the 'bed-hopping' line. They do this is every blimmin article about FM ever written, and as far as we know, apart from the legit couples, there was only ONE other hook-up in that band. One out of four other hetero possibilities:

Stevie and John? No.
Christine and Mick? No.
Christine and Lindsey? No.
Stevie and Mick? Yes.

People, they were hardly even trying.

if you believe that, you want to believe that, because its obviously over the top and Stevie is pretty savy about her career nowadays

I find it strange that Stevie would reference that particular quote from Destiny Rules. Has she ever talked about it elsewhere? That and the odd language around Lindsey Lohan makes me wonder.

More to the point, is anyone else a little disturbed by the phrase "eye-slashing"??
