Singles and Movie?

Does anyone have any idea as to which singles will be released from this album? I mean officially, we only have Secret Love.

And, I threw in the topic of the movie just cuz

The album cover wrapper has a sticker which says "Featuring Secret Love & Cheaper Than Free" That's a pretty good indication of what the next single will be.

Not really.

It just means that both of them were released before the album.

And I've seen lots of songs do that with songs that weren't singles. I never understood it.

I have a strong feeling that the title track will be the next single. It would require no radio edit.

If it's not IYD, then it needs to be another track that differs from Secret Love, in that, it should not be another ballad.

IYD could be a country single today. It has that feel.

If the likes of Taylor Swift recorded it with the exact same production by Dave, it would be a guaranteed hit at Top 40 radio.

Because they think people might have seen the "Cheaper Than Free" video and recognize that its on this album. It might be the 2nd single.....Nicks seems to think its an amazing song....and while some on here really dislike it, there are others who love it. So who knows for sure.

I just can't see there being only two singles off the album. Trouble in Shangri-La got "Every Day", "Planets of the Universe" and "Sorcerer". I imagine there will at least be a 3rd single, so IF "Cheaper Than Free" is single #2, "In Your Dreams" is likely single #3 (that's my guess).

Oh, I think Stevie could get a Top 40 out of it now. Taylor's would prob get a Top 10.

Country still relies on video too - they could do a nice one with this.

Well like it or not "In Your Dreams" is really catchy. I mean we can all cite our favorite songs and say "these should be singles"....it takes a bit more to try to figure out objectively what will likely go over best on the radio.

Wow. Movies have focus groups. Why can't the record companies do that and see which songs a preview audience likes best, if they want to choose a single.

CTF is the worst song on the album and I know that diehard fans don't gravitate to the same pop confections that mass audiences love, but I don't even think CTF is commercially attractive. Maybe Hannah Montana and one of the Jonas Bros. could make it a hit, but other than that . . .

Oh, ugh. Just the fact that Dave has it on his album too would be reason enough for me not to make it a single. The execs are stupid.

I don't get country when I hear IYD, but FWIW, definitely. If she got country rotation with that thing the single could go gold or platinum.
