Stevie on American Idol next week? (per Twitter)

Is this for sure? Where is the article where it says she's going to be on there? I've wished all season for this because Jimmy's been on there mentoring them every week, but I pretty much gave up on it happening this late in the game. But it would be sooooo awesome to see her on there. Is this for real? Or just wishful thinking?

It was posted on the American Idol twitter. They hinted & said the mentor this week is a poet & legend herself.

I don't usually watch American Idol...do the "mentors" usually appear live on the show or on "video footage" on the show? I would think it would be video footage considering Stevie will be performing that night at Webster Hall...

if this is true, and I suspect that it is, they will be filming it this weekend or Monday at the latest. The guest mentor and Jimmy meet with the contestants very early once they have selected the song -- then the contestant prepares for a couple days, records the track for iTunes, etc. So it would be filmed today or this weekend. Totally possible that this is Stevie!

Let's see American Idol airs may 4 concert at webster hall may 4... sit home and watch TV or go to Concert ??

Thanks! I have been a longtime lurker but came out of hiding for IYD. The album has blown me away. So excited for Stevie (and for all of us!)

Yeah, I don't think I ever watched a full episode of American Idol. I think that's about to change. Wow..there's so much going next week I should have just taken the whole week off!!

Wow, if this is true it is "major exposure" for Stevie! Because of Jimmy being on the show there is a good chance this is true!! Gooooo team Stevie!!

With all that's going on next week it would be a great time to take a vacation!!!

Thanks for the heads up.I'm not really a fan of American Idol,but I see Jimmy getting involve might change my mind about the show.We now might see good talent
from the show.I was a Star Search fan with Ed McMahon back in the 1980's.I will set my dvr's for that night because I will be seeung our friend live at the Webster.
