You're in for a treat. EVERY song is amazing. It's definitely her best album ever.

I love that she has found her soft voice again and uses it to great effect here on almost every song. Whoever she works with in regards to her vocal training has done a very good job with her. And kudos to Stevie for sticking with it.

Default I'm emotional about this album

As a longtime Stevie fan....this collection brings things full circle for me...she finds herself as a sweet, introspective storyteller , a woman t peace with herself...the delusions of street angel are gone, the aimless wondering of BellaDonna are over, the angst of Rock a little is calmed, the wild love of wild heart and the haunting search for meaning with OSOTM..are all memories......its all over....shes written this sweet layered collection of songs for herself and we get to listen in the quiet of our rooms...and the days go by like a strand in the wind...

JUST finished listening. Moonlight is for sure my fav. Followed by Annabel Lee. I didn't cry, but Moonlight did get me all choked up. I'm not getting ANY sleep tonight.

I listened to it at lunch today, then just now (properly), sitting on my balcony with candles and a glass of red wine.

I LOVE it. The production is fantastic. It has a different/updated sound yet it's still very "Stevie Nicks". I heard influences in the songs of Eurythmics (duh), Petty, The Beatles and even Led Zepplin (guitar in the New Orleans song). Moonlight's chugging guitar part reminded me of Edge of 17. I also love it how Stevie always re-uses lyrics in different songs where they seem fit - "Ghost through the fog", "Sometimes it was heavenly, sometimes it was too heavy", "No one walks away form this battle.." Awesome.
I had tears during "Italian Summer", and went ahead and let them fall this time. (Last time I heard it Stevie was in the room, about 8 feet away from me so I held it in.)

It was a glorious experience listening to the entire album in a relaxed atmosphere.

Tomorrow it's going to help me through my morning workout!

I hope we don't wear out the Rolling Stone media player before next tuesday.

Jamie

I'm so proud of Stevie.
Nail on the head. This is what a critical review should resemble in either an opening or closing statement.

Was she right? Is it her solo 'Rumours'?

I think so for sure in terms of quality. In terms of sales? No, but that has nothing to do with how great this album is.

Sales mean nothing to me. I'm in it for artistic value.

Not 1 number one album since I've been alive has made me feel the way this album has just made me feel. This is truly one of those "soundtracks to your life" albums.

I am in love!
This is equal to Bella Donna, easily, and could be one of Stevie's best albums ever!!!

There are so many great tracks here that it's nearly overwhelming.

For me, the album starts out great with "Secret Love" and each track gets *better* until the peak of "Moonlight". Then you think, "okay its downhill from here" but its not...you're amazed by how good the following songs after are. There isn't one mis-step.

Am I the only one that thought about the line in Sara, when you build your house then, I'll come by that now in Wide Sargasso Sea, the line is she burned his house down.

If that's a dig at Henley, I'll be giddy.
