WOW!!!!!! My Gal still has it and sounds better than ever! And I've been a Stevie fan since '75, Rhiannon and the White Album. Seeing the post to the RS link on my FaceBook page was the highlight of my day along with the Bahama Mama drink after work!
Ghosts are Gone reminds me of Edge of Seventeen and Stand Back....this was worth the 10 yr wait! And wow....Italian Summer is awesome! I can't wait for my CD to come in the mail!

God imagine if she'd had it together enough (or had people around her to keep her on track) to have done more albums like this when her voice was at its peak! Shivers.

Was just thinking this. She sounds fantastic yes, but imagine if this album was her voice circa 1980

<<"Italian Summer" I wasn't excited about at all on the preview, but I love how it all built up on the full track and wasn't "in your face" about being a love song. I don't like how the track just ends after the big note - I would've preferred for the music to carry on and for Stevie to do some Sara-esque ramblings as the track fades out.>>

TOTALLY agree with the part about how it ends...was thinking the same thing....

I wish I had more time to comment- Moonlight is stunning.

I feel such a sense of pride, happiness and excitement for Stevie right now. I am feeling so emotional for her- and for myself as a 30 year fan. I love her.

Ahh, I was waiting to hear from you! I agree with everything you said, especially about Moonlight... it's a definite stand out.

So happy Warner Bros decided to do this!!!!!

My favs:

In Your Dreams
Wide Sargasso Sea
Annabel Lee
Ghosts are Gone (I cannot wait to rock out to this while driving with the windows down and sunroof open!)
Moonlight (much better than I anticipated when I heard it was inspired by Twilight)

The lyrics are beautiful on the entire album, I cannot wait til Tuesday!

I told Louie this.

But I feel as though she really is a phoenix with this album. To me, at least. She has completely reinvented herself. She's strayed away from her "woe is me" and depressing songs. This album is completely uplifting, and beautiful in absolutely every sense. It flows so well.

Bella Donna was beautiful - but some of the songs seemed like they were thrown onto it. This, In Your Dreams, I feel like every song was MEANT to be on that album. They all work together, they all compliment and contrast each other in a way that makes each song that much more beautiful.

I just finished listening to this album, start to finish, my first Stevie album ever, start to finish. And I am just completely awestruck at how utterly fantastic it is.
Both she and Dave, and anyone else involved, really, honestly outdid themselves.
