As far as I know there was never an official press release with that track-listing, and unfortunately Amazon.com has, in the past, occasionally added incorrect info to their pre-order listings. Would be really cool to solve this once and for all. |

Why would I waste time if it was just a rumour from a dubious Ledgie? I was not on The Ledge in 2006, and my sources are real, and AMAZON.COM is real.
I'm through citing sources here, through correcting misinformation and falsehoods, done. I will be happy to at all of the wrong information here about Stevie taken as the Truth.Stevie had it right in her wish for those cocaine-up-the-ass rumour mongers. Me, too, Stevie. |

Yikes. I just like to, you know, verify things through legitimate sources. After that track-listing was first posted here on the Ledge, it traveled all around the internet. I noticed it on every Mac/Stevie website I visited. Yet no one ever produced an actual source, other than the original claim that it was listed on wea.com. Which was unverifiable without a User ID.
As far as Amazon.com -- yes, of course they're real. (I sure hope so, since I spend so much money there.) However, they have had incorrect info in their listings before. (A while back, they even had a fan-made cover for a Madonna album, before it was finally replaced with the real cover.) The 'Reflections' track-listing read more like a fan's wishlist than anything Warner Bros would ever really release. And the fan in question -- the one who first posted that listing -- is someone whose credibility I know for a fact to be iffy. I sent him several CDs as part of a trade (including many of the very single mixes & edits on this supposed track-listing), on the promise of several CDs in return. Needless to say, he never came through, while making excuse after excuse. Eventually he disappeared from here for a couple of years before returning with a different ID. Anyway, I wasn't taking you to task. Like you, I prefer facts over misinformation and falsehoods. So I was hoping you'd help me answer this question, yay or nay, once and for all. Kinda sorry I asked. Last edited by Johnny Stew; 04-27-2011 at 09:54 PM.. |

I was wondering that myself... Especially since I find it highly unlikely that a best of album would include "The Nightmare" (no matter how much fans would want it).

I meant to apologize before this thread sinks into obscurity with all the In Your Dreams (deserved) excitement going on.
No one will ever believe "confirmation" or "final word" on anything Stevie-related. It doesn't matter how many times I relate the specific circumstances in which Stevie herself hand-delivered "All Over You" to Atlantic Records in NYC in February 1998 along with a bunch of other songs to be considered for Enchanted, there will continually be those who cry out, "That's not Stevie!" and "Stevie and Prince BOTH denounced this song; it's not them!", even after they've asked for and read my explanation several times. So, it's become pointless in Stevie Fan Land to even try anymore. I have had and still have some sources pretty close to Stevie's world. Just this past January, I had the "Stevie tours with Rod" SCOOP, over a week before the announcement. And that scoop was snail-mailed to me a week before I received it in the mail, so my source knew before even the Ellen show was announced. My knowledge of the November 2006 The Very Best Of Stevie Nicks came from a similar source, not The Ledge. It's no longer worth the effort. I'm here for fun, not education. I'm sorry to have offended anyone with my snappishness, and I'm standing back now from any and all Stevie inaccuracies. I'm having much more fun enjoying reading others' enjoyment of In Your Dreams while I wait for mine to get here. ![]() |

Mike, did you compile a couple of "Enchanted Outtakes" discs around that time? I'm thinking that's where I got them from. They had "All Over You" and the "cooing" EO17 on them (among others). I was getting boots from so many sources at that point in time (late 90's) that I have no idea where I got most of them from!!!

I only shared one single disc of Enchanted outtakes because that was all that was given to me from the guy who worked at Atlantic in Manhattan who made copies of the tapes Stevie herself hand-delivered in February 1998, these tapes which absolutely included "All Over You" and was not "mixed up from someone else's tapes". I think Maureen made it 2 discs, adding in some other things.
What I was given was: "Edge Of Seventeen" - Unreleased Extended Dance Version "How Still My Love" - Outtake #1 (Jazz style version) "How Still My Love" - Outtake #2 (Jazz style version) "All Over You" - Circa Rock A Little "Twisted" - Demo without the Jesse Valenzuela guitar overdubs; slightly longer "Gypsy Beggars" - Piano demo circa 1984 "The Nightmare" - Piano demo #1 circa 1984 "The Nightmare" - Piano demo #2 circa 1984 "It's Late" - Demo #1 "It's Late" - Demo #2 I know Maureen made center channel "remixes" of the Enchanted demo of "Sweet Girl" and "Reconsider Me" and put them on her compilation, and a few more things as well. |

Mike, I'm so sorry. I forgot about this request, and then saw it in my playlist today and remembered I was supposed to post it.
