Default Totally Stoked Now

After seeing the great video for "Secret Love," I'm more excited than ever to hear the CD. The single was certainly pretty good, but I think the video nails it. Very vintage, very Stevie, very fun to watch. This beats either video for TISL in my book. Plus, I really appreciate the creative cohesiveness that Dave seems to have brought to the entire project. I think it blends beautifully with Stevie's spirit and style. And I think the video rocks it a bit harder than the single does by itself.

Now, everyone post it on your Facebook wall and let's get this party started!

Lightbulb Little Angel Fairy In The Birdcage is...

Do you think that is a gift a fan made for her? A Stevie Nicks Doll? In a birdcage?
Like Stevie uses Johanna Pieterson sp? stationary with the windblown drawing of Stevie in the bottom left?

It might. She would have to squeeze into it with the help of a Boobclamp, corset, a little lipo etc.

It just seems kind of...random. No real coherence to it. Shots of Stevie in front of a camera, shots of Stevie in the woods, shots of Mick recording his drum tracks, Dave standing in a white room, young little circus girls. What?

It's very pretty and visually appealing, though.
I agree with this guy. As a whole, it's a good video. Stevie looks great and the costumes are very pretty. But - there isn't really a story going on and maybe it's just me, but the camera pans are way too fast. I'd love to get to look at Stevie for more than a nanosecond before being whisked away to another scene.

When was the last time a Stevie video had a story? A long time! I think this one has a little bit of a story- something to do with that creepy director and his hallucations about young Stevie. Well, scratch that... it's more of a concept. But I do agree about the quick edits- it is highly annoying. And I think it's one thing to crowbar those solo shots of Dave into the video, but it's particularly jarring when his shots are stark black and white while the rest of the video is saturated with color. Other than that, I think this video suits the mood of the song really well, which I always thought had a bit of a spacey-vibe; the starlit blue backdrop is so perfect for this! I also think this is the first time we are receiving confirmation that Mick was indeed the drummer on this song, which makes it half-FM. It makes me wonder how it would sound if John and Lindsey added their parts while Dave produced. Would it have sounded like Fleetwood Mac? Would it sound any different from what we have now?

I would love to see some of these outfits transfer from the video to the stage. We already have the gloves, let's add the cream colored vest/hat as well.

Good points. Especially regarding the B/W vs. COLOR.

By the way, I also loved the ending where Stevie erupts into disco glitter. Somewhere Ke$ha is jealous she didn't use that in a video first.

Me too! I love black and Stevie looks great in black, but let's get some color too. I would love for her to wear red or purple and that beautiful cream color.

No, no, no . . . Warners thinks the US is merely the center of planet Earth. It was at one time, apparently, according to this old newspaper.

What was it? Continental Drift or something? Now the real center of the planet is Africa. At least according to this map:

Seriously, I'm glad you finally got to see it! I had always assumed anyone with a computer could see the stuff on Youtube. Your post was important, and I hope Warners notices.

Wow, Stevie looks fantastic! The video is gorgeous! Still not a fan of the "oooweee, listen to me" lyric, but maybe it will grow on me? The rest of the song sounds great. I agree with the person who said that it sounded better on Oprah. I think this song is going to sound great live when I see her this summer

Default Exciting!

How exciting, another new music video from Stevie! I was so surprised to see Mick!

I was confused, however, by the "younger Stevie." Why is she in the music video? She's no Stevie. If they were going for the nostalgic 70's era Stevie vibe, they could have incorporated some old video footage instead of representing her with some random brunette...
