Default WORCESTER: Spoiler

I'll write a little more a review tomorrow but the show was AMAZING!! Stevie said some cold words to Lindsey during Tusk and a.. special gust from the audience came on the stage. I'll explain later. Stand Back was Stevie's shining moment and Come was Lindsey's.

Oh yeah, and I was able to get to the FOURTH ROW directly next to the stage, coming all the way from the 200 section.

Someone else can post about what I was talking about above.

THE SHOW WAS AWESOME!

Alright, alright . During Tusk, Lindsey first went up to John and played the guitar right next to him but facing the other way, so their shoulders were touching and they were jamming and having a good time. Then, Lindsey went to Stevie and tried to do the same thing, and she did NOT look happy. I think about three times she actually mouthed "I don't think so!" We couldn't believe it. Everyone at the arena definetely saw it on the big projection screen.

After about 10 songs, about 30-40 people that had floor seats were able to go right up to the stage for the rest of the concert (it was AMAZING Lindsey went up to them maybe three times and let them touch his guitar strings while he was playing). Anyways, a man actually jumped onto the stage and started dancing!! He was about 8 feet away from Stevie. A man in a black sprinted towards him and carried him away (while he was still dancing). I wonder what happened to him.

There were two encores, the last of which Stevie did Goodbye Baby. I believe the setlist was the same as previous concerts. Sorry guys, no Destiny Rules or Running Through the Garden.

There will be more tomorrow.

Default HMMMMMM??

Why, all of the sudden, would Stevie have a problem with that? From the reviews I've read of all of the other shows she seems to laugh and have fun with that part. Why tonight? Something happen on her birthday? Did Lindsey forget to buy her a present?

How where the two of them the rest of the show?

Susie

Seems like Stevie's not into a kiddie corps at shows?

Something happened since the smooch last week?

Mrs. B. musta got wind of how nicey things were going
and decided to get to the next arena pdq with kids in tow,
probably just as a reminder.

Stevie's being put in her place at her own show?

I was at the show. It was not that big of a deal. He head butted her kind of hard and it jolted her and she said something in regards to oww...that hurt lindsey. It was no major melt down. They were fine together during the show.

oh, the dynamics of it all!

I love it!

I think this is great, really. You know there's nothing more boring than a happy ending, is there? hee hee!!!

I knew the current situations in their private lives would eventually affect what is going on in the show, and here it is.
At least one of the women in LB's life is feeling a little threatened by something. Wonder who it is? LeeLee?

Something's gotta give, sooner or later, and I just hope the shows and their performances can stay as good as they have been. It may mean S&L can't look at or touch each other for the rest of the Tour. Yeah, right, like they'll do that. Of course there are those who are going to say it was staged and planned to make money. Hmmmmm....... I dunno about that! !

I'll be staying tuned!

I think SN is being a little bit of flirt and more power to her; she cannot let LB get his way everytime I mean really - kiss me one night, then don't touch me I love her!!!

Also, LB's head ramming (at least as it pertains to La Nicks) is just a physical metaphor for something else. If I were Mrs. Buckingham, I'd be a little cautious!!!

Here is hoping for many antics during the Atlanta concert!!!

Exclamation She totally gave him the cold shoulder!!

I was there. I couldn't believe it. I had a great close up view of the screen, which featured a shot zoomed in of Stevie's face, as she rolled her eyes, moved away from him, and clearly said "I don't think so" while Lindsey tried to put his head on her shoulder during Tusk. Most people chuckled. My jaw dropped. There were other cold-shoulder moments between the two throughout the show...really lukewarm chemistry. I don't know if they actually talked to each other on stage at the other shows, but I don't think they directed a single spoken word at each other during this show. They did look at each other nearly the whole time they were singing, but it was a different kind of look at each other than the wild-eyed glances of The Dance. At the end of Landslide Lindsey went to hug her and she kind of turned away sideways so that they did this awkward hug where they both faced the audience with one arm around each other and she didn't look happy. I got the sense something wasn't right, but I'm sure they'll kiss and make up about it sooner or later.

As for the rest of my Worcester experience....WOW! I had such a great time, a great view (not too far away on the side of the stage) and my mind was blown away as Lindsey literally appeared to be tearing up his guitar during the earth-shattering solos of Come and I'm So Afraid. He kept going down to the audience and touching their hands and letting them touch his guitar. Lindsey totally dominated the show IMO, which I had no problem with. Say Goodbye was perfect, and Big Love sounded better than the Dance version. I love his beautiful vibratto when he holds notes. *sigh*

Stevie's voice sounded absolutely gorgeous, but she stayed far away from any high notes. The "take me like the wind" part of Rhiannon was an octave lower than its original notes...not even the medium range she used in The Dance. Also In Silver Springs "and did you say she was pretty" line was melodically different, it went down instead of up. She really played it safe. But I wasn't disappointed at all, she really rocked. Stand Back kicked ass, it was complete with twirling. Beautiful Child took my breath away. It was flawless...she looked dreamily into space and sang "I STILL wish that you were mine" at the end. She sang the same verse twice of Goodbye Baby "and I who went to sleep in tears..." instead of "and I who went to sleep as two..." I LOVE LOVE LOVE how Stevie sang Christines parts in Don't Stop and World Turning. That was really good.

I have to hand it to Sharon and Mindy. Their harmonies were exquisite, and really helped create that very full, classic FM sound. This was pulled off without Christine McVie in a live setting, and I was very pleasantly surprised by the sound. No question all those harmonies would have been better with her voice added to the mix, but they really did sound rich. I think Brett Tuggle was singing quite a bit as well.

OMG! Stevie wore the sneakers! They are so funny-looking and adorable...little platform black sneakers with sparkles. So cute. I don't care that she wasn't wearing boots. I'd rather she be comfortable.

I love Stevie's new hairdo, now that she's grown out her bangs into layers that frame her face really beautifully. She may have looked downright annoyed in some parts of the show, but she still looked radiant. Her hair was really long and shiny. Hats off to her hairdresser.

I went with my 18-year old brother (a huge Lindsey fan) who wore a FIRE JONATHAN TODD t-shirt. Some people looked at him and smiled, and a few actually gave a thumbs up or were like "Yeah, right on!" That was awesome. But here's the weird part (Get ready for this!). As the band is leaving the stage after the first encore, my brother runs down the aisle toward the stage (we were on the side) to get a closer look at them as they exit and he is promptly stopped by one of their staffers. The man lets my brother get a little closer to get a glimpse, but says that's it unless he has a pass. The man looks at the t-shirt and smiles and says "You know, Jonathan Todd really isn't that bad a guy. I've been working with this band for years (he claimed to be some sort of "manager") and I know, he's really not bad. He really cares about the music," something to that effect. My brother looks at the guy and says, "Well, a lot of people think he really did some wrong things to a lot of the fans." And the guy says, "It's not his fault" though he didn't say exactly what "it" was. My brother tells him politely, "We'll see," and that was that.
Interesting, EH?
Now this guy might not be anyone, and may have just been pulling my brother's leg about who he was, etc.
But if he IS who he SAYS he is (some type of "manager" for the band) than this would be a pretty good indication they have a clue as to the fact that many people are pissed at JT! My brother did manage to get close enough to the stage that any of the band members would have seen the shirt if they looked in his direction.

Another highlight of the evening was getting to meet the lovely Sarah (FiercestCalmSea) and her friend afterwards. Lucky Sarah sat superclose to the stage and I'm sure will have a very good review having seen all of this up close.

I got an hour and a half of sleep after getting home before I had to go to work in the AM, but I was still filled with adrenaline on the job, despite being bleary-eyed. It was SO worth it.

What a fan you are, Sonia to type all this for us on so little sleep!

Thanks so much for the info. I do wonder what is going on, but I must say I am not surprised. I knew there would be ups and downs and ins and outs where S&L are concerned.

I would be more worried if they were actually just consistently blaise for every show. It's not like them NOT to run hot and cold this way, and it gives us so much to gab about, doesn't it? lol!

Who knew Lindsey had a yen for John all these years

Seriously, many of us know the S/L thing is fun for some of you, but do you think you can keep the kids out of it? It's JMHO and you might disagree, but that's when it turns into something else.

Thanks

Thumbs up Thank you for your reviews!

Sounds like another great show. Each one is clearly different. There's another Worcester, MA show tonight, too, and it probably will have different moments that catch your eye.

ERigby, thank you for the detailed look. It's great reading! Tell your brother I think he rocks! That's terrific that he wore that shirt. "You know, Jonathan Todd really isn't that bad a guy."

Stevie's definitely a lady, and isn't going to do well with football tags at this point in her life. But Lindsey has been having a great time on stage, and, as you reported, felt bad that Stevie was injured. Even in football, I think it would only be a 5 yard penalty, and the game will continue.

It's really great that Lindsey has brought his family out to shows. How special to be able to see one's father up on stage with all that music and excitement as a kid. "That's MY Dad up there!"

I hope you guys get to the second show tonight!
