conservative estimate, 35K, that's because album sales are down and female rockers are not doing any good, there are also people who still don't know she has an album out, and Secret Love has not done well.

I'm going to have to agree with you on this one. I'm thinking more like 30-40k.

Do you guys think Secret Love didn't do that well because it's a Stevie Nicks (not Gaga or Brit) song or because it's not that good?

I think because it just doesn't have that 'hit' sound,it's still a good song just not chart-worthy imo.
I'm really not expecting the album to go top 5, or 10 for that matter. .

First of all, I like the song, but my sister who used to be a really huge Stevie Nicks fan heard it and she said it wasn't hit. She said the first part sounded too 80s, and it took too long to get going. She really liked the words though. My brother said the same thing. I think Stevie has to fight against agism too.

The funny thing about Secret Love is David Wilde seemed genuinely suprised that it was released first. No one has mentioned this song as their favorite or even said it was great. I think song is a bone to her fans. A good song, but expendible. But I don't understand their reasoning behind it. She needs to put her best foot forward for this album and somehow, I don't think she did. Secret Love gave her some talking points on radio though. I just hope they didn't release this song because she wrote it alone. You would think she would past the ego thing, because that has killed her in the past. She is not a good decision maker.

I don't think it's because it's not that good...but what radio stations are clamoring to play Stevie Nicks? She's a "classic" artist, and unfortunately, "classic" artists aren't the hitmakers.

I'm holding true to my original guess of 35,000-50,000 first week sales. But I'm going to update my chart standing because now we know who all is putting out albums that week. My guess is she'll land in the top 10 for sure, most likely in the #4 or #5 spot.

Paul Simon just entered the Billboard album chart at No. 4 with 68k sold. I expect Stevie will sell more copies but maybe not debut as high. Just guessing...

yeah and he has been number 1 on amazon for over 2 weeks, she is at 17

Blessed by Lucinda Williams only #15 and its been doing better on the amazon charts, I'm hoping that the presale helps alot

Except his album has only been in the top 100 for 53 days and it was released over a week ago. Not to mention a lot of preorders are thru Stevie's site, not amazon, so I think she is doing perfectly fine. She is up to 16 today and I am sure she will continue to climb.

Im afraid beasties, and Sade will debut high, they normally do, and with Jennifer Lopez doing so well with her single....I will say a debut at number 6 and 80,000 copies sold first week

Lopez is not doing well on the charts album wise.
