Loved the show. The video montage of her career was very well done. I agree with the comment about Landslide having enough changes to make it engaging although the hand waving was a bit over the top and on the creepy side.

she is becoming one note, and that's not right, she has plenty of material

she's not "one note". she was on a mass market TV show. not like she could pull out Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You. she had to satisfy the producers, Oprah, and O's audience. she did sing her new single. proof positive that it goes to the presumed audience that they posted it on the website. people want the familiar. we rabid fans want Stevie to mix it up.

I feel bad saying it, I feel bad feeling it, but I have been sick of Landslide since like The Dance era. I used to love it back in the day. Between her singing it on tv shows so much since then, hearing it all the time on the radio during The Dance era, the Dixie Chics (ugh!) and everything, and even now she does it so often. I might have even preferred hearing Dreams on Oprah, or Sara, or Gypsy. Weren't those all popular too? But at least she was on Oprah. So Sheryl could embarrass her and make her feel like a heel.

I feel the same way. It's like she doesn't try to get other songs going. If she kept doing them on tour and on tv shows, they'd become new classics. If you can't create new classics for the general audience, not to be mean, but, well, if it were anyone other than Stevie Nicks, I'd say, is it time to give it up? If the record company and the artist don't purposely put at least one song per cd out there in the limelight, what's the point? I feel mean saying it. I'd want Stevie to write forever. But not limit herself and feel she has to put herself in some time capsule and that's the only way she'll get recognition. I'd think she'd want to be seen as a current star, not a "the once loved, once super popular, Stevie Nicks." Between her solo and FWM cd's shouldn't she have at least like 13 classic hits that she could pick and choose here or there to play? Not the same 2-3, or one (Landslide)? What about Talk To Me, If Anyone Falls, Leather and Lace, Sara, Gypsy, Rooms on Fire, etc. ? |

Ah, those were the days! At least she's retired THAT hideous garment!
