It's a small place .No need for flash bulbs. Please shut them off for Stevie's sake.

In this day and age, everyone with the latest smart phone has an HD video camera. It is just impossible to prevent people from bringing these things into shows. And in a general admission setting, without seats and aisles, even if they did spot people taking pictures/video, how are they going to get to them without mowing down half the audience? I think Stevie should just embrace the videos, because they give her free, potentially virulent promotion on YouTube, and it also gives her an added incentive to step up her game. In this day and age, everything uploaded onto the internet becomes part of the permanent archive of the ether.
Thanks for the info.

I hope she has a real BIG SMILE for all of us.

I thought that went without saying, but you're probably right to bring it up.

Yes, the answer to the question, "Should I take my camera?" is always yes! They are so small these days, stick it down your pants if you need to!

Hello everybody.

I've been a reader of this board for a while and I really like you all a lot.
As a massive Fleetwood Mac and Stevie fan, I just felt compelled to vent to somebody (anybody!) who would understand.

It was my 24th birthday last week and one of my friends generously, lovingly said she would buy us tickets to see Stevie at Webster Hall as my present.

At 12 noon when they went on sale, that very SECOND, as you know, there were no tickets. I was so disheartened. I've never seen Stevie or the Mac before and you can't imagine how much I was looking forward to this amazing concert.

I'm not sure if we were duped by ticketmaster or what (did they even have anymore tickets to sell?), but it's sad when such a massive fan like myself, who has never seen her, who could not afford the cost of the ticket ordinarily, somehow was charmed enough to have the show right by his birthday and have such a great friend-- and I can't go? I mean I can't buy tickets?

It's upsetting as hell. I really hope they'll have a few more left or something and I can figure out some way to get inside. Otherwise I'll be pacing New York City while Stevie sings.

UGGGHHHHH
Thanks for reading.
It's a pleasure to be here with all of you.

Sorry to hear you couldn't get any tickets, nikniknik. I've yet to see FM or any member solo, live, either, so I know how excited you must've been at the prospect. Hope it somehow works out for you, but if not, atleast there is Stevie's (and possibly Lindsey's) upcoming solo tour to look forward too. I'm going to try to go to both if they come near enough to my town.

Also, you might be interested in entering this sweepstakes:

The friend coming with me is going to shoot what she can. We both have mini video cams (I have a Samsung SMX-F40 with 52x Optical Zoom; just under $200 cam. Not really highend), but I've never used it in such a setting. Any recommendations for specific mini HD cam that would be best suited for shooting an in-door show?

So, I'm kinda obsessed with Cher too and went to see her Vegas show all the time. My bff has a Flip video cam that he used and it always took really great HD video and audio. I can give you specific links on youtube if you want to see how good it is.

Apparently there were no tickets left when they went on sale to the general public at 12 noon. The code thing blocked out a lot of us, especially those of us who have (GASP!) aol, even thoug WB told us we would get the code and be able to buy. The radio presale blocked out most of us, and then ticketmaster, who could have said the show was sold out, didn't do that, but led us to believe we still had a chance at tickets.

I am disheartened that WB and the promotor would allow such an intimate show to end up being what seems to be primarily a scalpers show. What was the point of the fans presale if they limited tickets then?

I'm still looking for a way to get one ticket too. Hopefully something will come up.

The whole ticket selling business is so corrupt it sucks. Have you written WB regarding the AOL block? That was bullsh*t. I think everyone that happened to should write WB and tell them how displeased you are.

I guess your friend had no trouble with security stopping him then? I have a flip camera too that I was planning on sneaking into Stevies Vegas show but I couldn't remember how strict the colluseum was with cameras.

As someone above said, when it doubt, hide it in your pants. Once inside, you can get a feel for security.

Lol- hide it in your pants- lol...

I usually ace wrap the camera to the inside of my ankle, then pull my pant cuff over it.
