I just heard the song, and though i don't love it, i think it's somehow strong. This song has a real structure, and has a concept. I like the production and arrangement too, reminds me of Bella Donna (the album). And Stevie's voice is great.

I'm really looking forward to hearing this album, we already have two completely different songs, one that is slightly overproduced, the other that is a bit too simple, but i'm sure we'll find some kind of balance. I was sceptical, but i'm telling you now, this album WILL BE amazing.

Yeah, they are already stronger than 90% of the stuff we have gotten from her in decades and according to those who have heard the album, they are not even the strongest songs

I am actually really liking this song, it's not a typical Stevie song. I admire it's simplicity.
And it's nice to see Stevie enjoying herself in the video... she has a beautiful smile, it's great to see it every now and then

Lori's sitting at the table, to Dave's left. You can see that it's her in one of the shots, but not all.

All you need is love, love.Love is all you need. I am getting a very strong Beatles vibe from this now. Will this song make it through all the noise that there is today?I don't know.

For instance:

"What's faster than a fast car?"

If changed to 'What's faster than a speeding car?' it sounds much less elementary school and just .. less cringeworthy. Still doesn't make it a lyrical masterpiece but it's not so redundant, etc.

I randomly thought of that change in 2.5 seconds when I was humming it in the shower (the tune IS pretty catchy), so I just feel like if they sat down and worked on the lyrics a little more it would have helped so much. It's not that they have to be MYSTICAL - that's not the problem... they just aren't good.

Just my .02 cents.
"What's faster than a speeding car" is actually a much worse line. It's mundane. It's trite. Whereas "what's faster than a fast car" is referring to a car that's fast all the time, basically its known to be fast, like say a Z29. Even a parked Z29 will get a comment like "oh there's a fast car".

This is the kind of song I been wanting from Stevie. I've only waited for over 25 years to see her get back to form.
