Congratulations on getting into Durham University Dani.

I live about 20 miles from there. Durham is a lovely city. The university does have a newer campus about 5 miles from where I live in a town which is, unfortunately, not too pretty so hopefully you will study in Durham itself if you come over. It is near Newcastle (where I first saw the Mac on their Say You Will tour) which is a wonderful city and has excellent night life.

Well done once again!

Gill

My Dad's flirting with women on Facebook again. Why the eff does he keep doing this to us? He obviously doesn't respect me or my Mother at all, nor what he put us through the last time. Prick.

Oh I see. I think you might have just answered your own question then. Definitely not a mid-life crisis then. I'm sorry - it must be very hurtful.

Just like my step-father. He's done so much to my mother and brothers that I honestly could kill him. Well, he's off to work in Afghanistan on a military base, anyway. I hope I never see him again.

Ha--it actually really was. The other interns and I would act out the scripts in mock dramatic voices while we photocopied them and SoapNet was on in every office all day long. I wasn't a huge soap viewer before I worked there or after (TBH, I haven't watched in months), but it was kind of hilarious being surrounded by them all day.
Yup--end of the line for soaps. Soon there will be 4 soaps left (and DOOL is not long for this world). There were 9 just a couple of years ago

That really, really sucks. It's just so tremendously disrespectful to you and your mom. I don't know what else to say, but I'm sorry.

Durham, as small a place as it is, is actually classed as a city in England. If a "town" in England has a cathedral, which Durham has, then it is known as city. This has been the case for hundreds of years until recently, and to confuse matters, three towns have recently been given city status although they do not have catherdrals. Then we also have the matter of an old popular (in England ) folk song from the sixties called "Durham Town".......... but it is definitely the city of Durham - and, like you stated Louie, a very beautiful city it is. I visit it frequently.

I shall share three things, because three sounds like a nice number to me right now:
- I have the whole house to myself for the entirety of next week. I have no idea what I'm going to do. Maybe bring my guitar and one of my keyboards into the living room and make lots of loud noise at 2am and not have anyone yell at me for a change.
- Yesterday I bought a new toy to put in my birdcage (a wooden ladder thing) and it's already been chewed to sawdust. I think they've broken their record for fastest destroyed toy.
- I really really hate forums for the most part. Very rarely do I get involved in one. I find them awkward. It's hard to get going when everyone knows each other already and little alliances and cliques have been formed and people talk about things that happened years prior and blah blah blah. Having said that, so far this one is all right. I don't mean the structure or anything (it's a very nice and well organized board), but just my personal experience so far - could be better I guess, could be worse. Yay.
Ugh I'm so lame.

You'll need to take more than usual for it to be as effective, though. Just take 3 instead of 2 or something, because any more than that could be potentially dangerous.
