Smile Growing Up and the Changes That Come With It

Hey All,

It is crazy what time and years can bring, and how we learn a lot about just everything in general.

I really don't know how I managed it, but somehow I ended up reading some postings on 7Wonders. Since I'm not a member I didn't think I was able to read anything, but somehow I clicked on something and managed to be there..... ANYWAY, I stumbled upon some of my early posts (I was a member there in 2006), and was intrigued at my passion for Stevie and the Mac, but annoyed at how much I posted and how fragmented my thoughts were. I then came across a few threads that.... needless to say didn't go over very well and that I perpetuated very much so, and I cringed. I suppose, when I was younger, there was this vague disconnect about message boards, and that there really are real people behind the postings, and I didn't think about that back then..... it was all about my enthrallment with Stevie, and it was obnoxious, and I pissed a lot of people off.

ANYWAY, the reason I'm mentioning all this is that it's funny how, as we get older, things change. Our perspectives change, and our attitudes and realizations about things change. We all go through it, and I've gone through A TON from 2007 til now, and I know I'm a stronger man for it. This happens to all of us.

I don't know- I was just kind of in a reflective mood tonight, and thought I'd just share this thought that ran through my head. Hope you all are having a BEAUTIFUL evening!!

Much Love,
Ethan

I think we all have our "What was I thinking?" moments when looking back on old posts from years ago. We as people change. Our thought processes change. So yeah, it's perfectly normal to be embarrassed of yourself of past actions.

Well.....for me, I've changed for the better. I was the most bitter person ever. I look at old journal writings I made, and boy. The anger and hate on the pages astounds me. I'm glad my teen years are over. Bad chapter in my life. My 20's have been a revelation, and I love life again. I still have cynical part of me though.....sometimes.
