God, I feel your pain. I'm dating a chemistry PhD student, and it's very difficult. Even getting a date scheduled, is a major ordeal. I consider that extreme level of FOCUS, to be a handicap to the person. Because it's like they can't just "be happy", everything must have a reason, and an explanation. Being spontaneous.....isn't even an option, EVER. Even sex, must be planned.

We had an argument on Thursday, and haven't had any contact since then. I'm still trying to decide if I can jump through these constant hoops. I'm going back and forth on it......

This is exactly why I don't let myself watch scary movies under any circumstance.

Other people probably think you're exaggerating, but trust me, I understand. Neuroticism isn't so much fun when the glamorization fades.

After watching Darkness Falls at the age of like...idk 10?? I seriously need a light around when it's completely dark in my house. If that tooth fairy comes after me I will die! Same thing with that movie about the ventriloquist lady. How could you not scream if she's right there??!! I would be dead and my tongue would be in some jar somewhere.

P.s. I absolutely love thirteen ghosts.

Having been a phD student, and thank God it's over, I can sympathise - especially if she's coming to the end of her thesis. You go slightly mad during that time and can't focus on anything else. To be honest I'm glad I wasn't dating anyone this time last year because I'd have been terrible to date/live with!

Yeah, that totally baffles me. How random! Because normally we don't see much more than 100 users at a time. And it was not even a new album day or anything.

Maybe it was just a busy day for Bots? On an old board I was Admin of we had a lot of trouble with bots and web spiders stealing bandwidth.

It changes a little bit every day. 1200 one day, 1500 the next, 1000, 1700, 1200 again.... generally speaking, I'm not calorie counting unless there's a label on packaged food. I'm just eating as healthily as I can, which I'm guessing is the right way to do it.

I think part of my problem is that I'm losing weight in two of my "problem zones" (hips and thighs) but not my stomach, so I feel ridiculously unproportionate right now, which isn't usually a problem for me.
Gotcha. Ramp up the cardio to get rid of belly fat. You may want to decrease your daily carbs & increase the protien. I do not mean a low or no carb diet; just make sure you're getting plenty of protien & make sure all your carbs are worth it. Sugar, alcohol, white bread & pasta = doughy.

Crunches & ab work are fine, but you won't really see results til you get rid of the flab.

My friend finally pointed it out, that we should be enjoying each others company, and get the fukc off of our phones. He.was.right.
I HATE that this is becoming the norm in society. I think it's awful.

This morning as I was getting ready for class I got a call from my mother. Her brother died. Totally unexpected--he was only 45 or 46. It looks like maybe his heart just gave out--he's been a big drinker and pot smoker sine he was twelve, so I guess his body just had it. I guess he didn't have very consistent relationships in his life because it sounds like it took weeks for anyone to notice they hadn't heard from him in a while. The last time anyone heard from him was the end of March. God that part creeps me out.

And I feel so wretched for my grandparents. They've done a lot to clean themselves up since then--my Grandma has been sober over 20 years--but they were absent alcoholic parents. And as much as I'll try to tell my grandmother that it wasn't her fault, I know she'll feel guilty about this for the rest of her life (and honestly, she won't be totally wrong). He was an incredibly smart, charismatic, beautiful kid and he just sort of threw his life away--he never held a job, my parents have been supporting him for years. And it's just so horrible that it had to end like this. Everyone always hoped he would somehow turn it around.
