Also, Shania Twain released Come on Over in two different cds with the same songs on it, one pop cd and one country. Probably to appeal to a wider audience? Idk.

Doesn't matter. The song is on both their albums. It could be the Secret Love video, but in my opinion, that should of dropped already. Wonder if its going to be released now.
The problem is, Stevie and Dave are not on the same record label. I'm sure Dave's label wouldn't pay to release Stevie's version of the song to pop stations, and Stevie's label most likely has no interest in killing Secret Love in the water while it's still on the rise.

So yes, it's possible Dave is releasing his version of Cheaper Than Free with a video (very possible), but I doubt Stevie's label has anything to do with it.

I've been wondering myself lately if they've decided not to drop the Secret Love video. I forecasted they'd wait no sooner than a month before IYD drops to release the video. But it kinda seems do or die time to release the video now.

I get the feeling its do or die too. I'm just wondering if its a warm up single. I mean no one ever mentioned it as a favorite. It doesn't matter if Dave's label has anything to do with it. It's going to say it's on her album too. I think it sounds like a hit.

That was an interesting release... There were actually 3 different discs. North America had the Country and Pop versions... Europe had the Pop and a south asia, middle eastern flavoured versions.

Oh yes I remember that. It was that awful interference from labels that led to that cd being raped. There was just one COO that was big but one of the singles tanked,I think it was "When" ,then they got the idea to do pop remixes that ended up so successful they remarketed the entire album with the pop versions. The promotion got drawn out over 3 years,it was ridiculous.
A similar thing happened with The Corrs "Talk On Corners" to the point where the final issued CD was unrecognisable. Blame the UK labels

What happened to Talk On Corners? I've always enjoyed that album, still do, and would be interested to know about the different versions to know which one I have.

Yeah it's always been a favourite. The original release of October 1997 was the 13 track one,the first reissue of Summer 98 had their cover of Dreams inserted as track 3 or 4.The cover remained the same.
Then the 'singles' happened in remixed pop form so the label restyled the whole album with remixes and tacked a new "Runaway" onto it and changed the cover to a bluey/green polished style sleeve.
Unsurprisingly it sold bucketloads AND if that wasn't enough there were also US and Japan editions, phew!
Still a good album either way

A friend of mine told me that he's bought new releases before at 9pm monday night (pacific time) for a tuesday release. I wonder if that's a possibility for this new release(whatever it is). I hope so!!
