Wow- it has a really neat history! Neat place for a Stevie show I think.

It looks small - like House of Blues size, no? If it really does seat 1500 that's amazing, cuz it looks smaller than that. I hope all of you who can take advantage of this, do. I've been wanting her to play a small place like this since I saw her at HOB in LA in 1999!

I'd go, but I'm already asking for time off that week, plus time off the following week to see Stevie in Vegas. Flying out to NY from San Diego probably isn't exactly cheap either.

I'm so excited for you guys who get to go!!

I've never been to Webster Hall, primarily because it's usually a dance club on most nights. I do have to wonder what they were thinking when they booked this place. I have some theories about why this is happening:

1. It was the only decent sized venue available at short notice on that date.

2. This is a way of generating some publicity in the mainstream media; the scarcity of the tickets vs. the demand would be in and of itself newsworthy.

3. This is an industry/media showcase, and a small subset of tickets will be given away via a lottery type of system. This happens all the time in New York.

I am doubtful that this is a live taping for a DVD or TV special. This is the first time she will be performing her new songs in public, so why would she want to capture that on film?

There is nothing conventional about this gig at all, and it makes me very, very, very excited about having a chance at going. It will be quite a bummer to miss out on this!

I wonder how much the tickets will be. 1200 people with the current $125 dollars a head won't add up.It would not even enough to pay her travels and plus her crew with these days costs.

I am crossing my fingers I can get a ticket before they sell out! I saw Stevie back in 2000 for two of the millenium shows at the Sun Theatre in Anaheim, CA...what an awesome venue...I think it was about the same size. This is going to be long weekend waiting for Monday's details on the show!!!

I have my final psych exam on the 5th, but I'm going to ask my professor if I can take it a day early (90% chance this won't be a problem), and I'm doing my best to get these tickets.

I'm kinda freaking out! I want to go to this show so much. I wish we knew how much tickets were going to be so I'd know if I need to get some money together this weekend. Fingers crossed they're not toooo expensive!

It's not even listed on the calendar.

Like Ed said, this might be an industry show-case type show. They let a limited number of fans into these things and not sell tickets to the general public or even let them know it is happening.

Only if you're rich and have the money to spend an extra 2 nights in NYC. For fans that were and or planning to go to NOTS and would like to see this show, it would have been so much better to have a conert either the night before or night after NOTS - not 2 days before.

But I'm still confused as to what defines a "fan"
