So I arrive at 5:45, and have everything ready to go for them. 6PM becomes 6:30, and.I.leave. Fukc that.

They just called, and they're PISSED. I told them I have better things to do, than sit around waiting on a bunch of guys who have no respect for wasting my time. I need a dinner and shower break, and I'm getting one. "We need you back here, NOW!". Me> "sorry pal, it ain't gonna happen....you'll get a line check, 15 minutes before your start time".
Admittedly, I have kind of a mañana attitude toward time, but this would really annoy me. I don't consider being 5, 10, or 15 minutes late to be a big deal, and would think anyone who had a problem with that was very high-maintenance. But 20 minutes, and it starts to become a big deal.

And I spend way too much time, waiting on slow assed musicians.
Last Thursday, I waited 90 minutes on a big act to arrive, then they pushed the show back, another 60 minutes.
I spent 2 and 1/2 hours, just WAITING, that day.
Pisses me off to no end.
So today's a band of nobodies, and I let my cork blow. Enough. No one EVER has to wait on me. I guess it's asking to much, for the same courtesy.

But you turn 21 at midnight tonight? Have someone drive you into Boston! Thursday night is one of the best night's to go out here, if not the best. Oh, and if you're doing the city this weekend, let me know, and I'll buy you a drink at some point. Happy birthday, welcome to legality

Whenever someone tells me they're bored I tell them there's always something that needs to be cleaned. Some good music and a clean room and afterwards you'll feel like a million bucks and wonder where the time has gone.

They're really mad, and I couldn't care less. Maybe they'll be on time, next time. I HATE late people.
Thanks for letting me vent. JTIS!
I had something similar happen to me last weekend. I planned and organized a group ride for the Austin Scooter Club last weekend. The head of the group/owner of the group website/etc is ALWAYS late. It really grates on everyone in the group. So this past weekend, we waited for 30 minutes after she was supposed to be there, and then we just left since I was the one heading the ride. I felt kinda bad, as she was really looking forward to it... but you just kinda have to draw a line in the sand sooner or later with people.

It's perfectly acceptable to leave after 20 minutes, if whomever you're waiting for hasn't shown up. Fifteen is sort of marginal. Ten, and I'd think you were one of those prissy, super-speedy, high-energy, always-on-the-go, chop-chop MFs that I can't stand.

Yeah, I might have been okay with waiting just a little bit longer, but we were on a pretty strict time schedule for once. We were going to ride up through the canyons and such in the West Lake Hills at dusk. You don't want to be up there on a scooter after dark as those roads are very narrow, steep, curvy, and gravelly (gravel on a scooter can get you killed). Not to mention there are 10 million people driving giant SUV's who yap on their cell phones nearly killing everyone around them. So we really had to leave. Maybe it taught our group leader a lesson, though: BE ON TIME!!

Yeah, I've been out that way once or twice, and some of those roads look pretty scary.

I'm EXTREMELY time anal.
Be on time, or I will kill you.

Really though, I'm okay with that 15 minute rule. But 20 is too much. I'm pissed at 20.

I noticed you hadn't been posting as much. I'm glad to hear things are really going well for you. I tend to be on the ledge less and less when I'm actually leading a productive life, too. So you guys can see how things have been going for me lately
