LOL you people crack me up. It wasn't a terrible performance and it sounded almost carbon copy from the 1st night. The audience loved it and I am sure no on was saying "oh my this is TERRIBLE". Gotta love us obsessed Ledgies

As the night near an end, Rod kicked autographed soccer balls out all over the venue. It was a featured event with his singing the song “Hot Legs.” It was fun. I’m glad we got to do this. I’m thrilled that Stevie and Rod came to the city that loves them back. Stevie, we “can’t wait” for your new album! Thank you Stevie for giving us this extra show for us tonight.

FORVER YOUNG
May the good Lord be with you
Down every road you roam
And may sunshine and happiness
surround you when you're far from home
And may you grow to be proud
Dignified and true
And do unto others
As you'd have done to you
Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart you'll always stay
Forever Young, Forever Young
Forever Young, Forever Young

May good fortune be with you
May your guiding light be strong
Build a stairway to heaven
with a prince or a vagabond

And may you never love in vain
and in my heart you will remain
Forever Young, Forever Young
Forever Young, Forever Young
Forever Young
Forever Young

And when you finally fly away
I'll be hoping that I served you well
For all the wisdom of a lifetime
No one can ever tell

But whatever road you choose
I'm right behind you, win or lose
Forever Young, Forever Young
Forever Young ,Forever Young
Forever Young, Forever Young
For, Forever Young, Forever Young
Hate to burst your bubble but Rod Stewart did not write Forever Young or many of the songs he performs.

I'm not a Rod Stewart fan but far as I knew he did actually write the lyrics to that and managed to pinch bits of the Bob Dylan version. There was a court case and I think Mr dylan got royalties to add to his piggy bank.

Forever Young was indeed written by Bob Dylan. His version is quite nice.

"Rod Stewart recorded a song titled "Forever Young", which was released as a single and included on his Out of Order album in 1988. The song was remarkably similar to the Bob Dylan song of the same title, sharing not only a similar melody but many of the same lyrics. Upon threat of a plagiarism suit, Stewart acknowledged that he had subconsciously plagiarized the older song, and agreed to share his royalties with Dylan."

I guess it burst Rod Stewart's bubble more than mine.

I already knew that? The point is he is not this terrific songwriter you claim he is.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I happen to think Lindsey's vocals on the Bass Hall video suck even though they were professionally recorded. Point is, I don't go to the Lindsey board looking for something to bash him for

I believe she was admitting that she did not realize that Rod didn't write it. I think she got your point.

Neither do I....I loved Stevie's early days.......She just has not impressed me in years. I'm sorry if It seems like I always bash Stevie. It's just my opinion. Also trust me Lindsey has done PLENTY of stuff I loathe. I think His voice now sounds like he took a faceplant on a gravel driveway and he inhaled some gravel. But I like his Material more. So what can I do....I Don't set out to bash Stevie.....She's just pretty much lost me. I don't call it bashing. If I thought it was good I'd say so.

Done and done.

Mick

Fair enough, Maybe she can win you back with the new cd if not keep it to yourself. JK

Maybe she could keep it in the set list and sing all the verses herself or just do harmonies of it with Lori and Sharon if she doesn't like Rod's part on it. She performed it with Lori and Sharon during the Bella Donna tour. SHE sounded fantastic performing L & L. Wish I was there to see it live.
Stevie has done Leather and Lace back in 2005 on her Two Voices Tour with Don Henley which was an amazing tour they sang more than just 2 songs and they came out in both sets so was an awesome show I believe it was over or close to a 3 hour show.
