Demo/Live Performance Requests

[markolas]

Can we get back on track here?

Rising/writhing, whatever...is that the only piano demo of Rhiannon (excepting the one on Enchanted)?

Trying this again:

Does anyone have a complete list of the Stevie demos or unreleased songs Fleetwood Mac played on?

[sorcerer999]

It occured to me today that I have been a Stevie fan for 28 years, yet I have never heard the song "What Has Rock And Roll Ever Done For You". Can someone post that one? I'm super curious now.

I am uploading two files for you... both are enhanced versions I did much earlier in this thread... I will be posting them in probably about 5-10 mins.

You're awesome, Jeff! THANK YOU! What era is this song from, again?

You're welcome! There's been a little debate over that... lots of times it was referred to as a Tango in the Night demo due to it being talked about as a song for inclusion on that album, but considering the band used on the circulated versions does not sound anything like Fleetwood Mac, I believe the consensus is it was recorded somewhere around 1985-1986.

I'm having serious issues with my upload speed, lol! So for now, I will upload the mp3 of the song so you can at least hear it. When I get the WAV files of my enhanced versions uploaded, I will post those too!

[sorcerer999]

Awesome! Can't wait! Thanks again!

Wow, that was frustrating... my upload kept repeatedly dropping and starting over. Sorry for the delay, but here you go!

"That's Made Me Stronger" ~ demo

oooooo..that "wat has rock and roll ever....." sounds like a joan jett and the blackhearts thing..although its not bad...it doesnt sound anything like her music..the whistling at the beginning??? hahaaaaa...its just silly...not stevie nicksesk at all...good choice to leave off the album..this WH era or RAL?? that being said i DO appreciate the opportunity to hear it..thanks for dl'ing it

[mikebise]

It's most likely from the Rock A Little era, 1985 or 1986. I love it as a slice of Stevie History!

Plus, it's good to place a song with a title. When I got Mick's crappy book in 1990, I would spend hours wondering what "What Has Rock And Roll Ever Done For You?" would sound like. I think it's a cool, weird song, so perfectly encapsulating 1986, for me.
