Why fight nature? it's also a sign that your blood sugar is slamming down. Not healthy.

I read somewhere that it takes a solid 6 MONTHS to actually change your lifestyle. I believe it. It became the norm for me to work out most mornings before work after about that many months of doing it. I had to force myself at first, but it eventually became natural to me.

If my boobs shrink, I'll be so pissed.
Mine shrank, but I wasn't busty to begin with.

I disagree! Definition is mostly dictated by diet and genetics. You can run a triathlon every day, but if you stuff your body full of junk, and if you don't have the genes for it, you're not going to get definition. Judging from my parents, my lineage is "skinny fat." I can get somewhat-ripped if I go to extremes, but it's not really sustainable for very long; I will end up losing a lot of muscle mass, so it's not worth it.
My family's all fat. I always tended to be slightly chub - about 10 pounds too heavy. I didn't think I would ever - EVER - be able to see my ab muscles, but I did after 6-9 months of diet & exercise. And by diet, I mean a permanent change to the way I ate - healthier, not at all restrictive.

The lack of transition between skin and nails thing is probably the only way I'll do a single color any time soon. It's just so weird and offputting that it makes up for how monochromatic it is. This is my "signature" color...

Used to do my nails all the time. Now it's too high maintenance - I don't have the time or desire to make sure they always look great. I'd prefer plain nails to chippy polish. But I do try to keep my toenails polished at all times during summer.

I'm pretty much an addict as well. I run on the treadmill for at least two hours everyday. If I have time in the evening, it's even longer. With an iPod it goes by really fast. I started playing soccer when I was very young, and exercise has always been kind of fun to me.

I will be reading my poetry at a local bookstore on April 18th at 6PM as part of Seattle's annual "Emerging and Etablished Writers" reading. There will be a handful of selected student writers but the majority of the reading will be done by prominent, established poets and novelists from the area.

I'm SO excited.

Can we PLEASE both do this? I'm dead f*cking serious.

I wouldn't advertise something so negative just to throw in something positive in there.

If the gubmint shuts down, I'm gonna have a whole lotta time on my hands. Although...I'm more or less home all day during the week anyway, thanks to this lovely weekend shift I'm on.

Wow--congrats! Very impressive. Validating, I'm sure, to have your work recognized like that.

My show for this year of my degree is in a few weeks and I'm so nervous already, especially considering we get our major and three minor grades around the same time. But I suppose it is a lot less stressful than it will be next year when we have to try and sell our work for the final show of our course. And after that, aside from my next stint for my Masters, I shall have to try and earn a living selling my work and displaying it in galleries. I never thought I'd reach the stage of fully fledged gallery artist, but it's heading towards me like a freight train.
