Exactly and that "marriage" is part of her persona. Ergo: Is "Come" about Stevie or not? Well, I only see two people on that album cover...

First. I'm on the STEVIE board, so the correct spelling of his name means nothing to me. He's a great artist/producer, don't get me wrong there. But don't try to prove a point by childishly nit-picking spelling. It doesn't work with me.

Perhaps it was foolish of me to make a 1980 cut off for songs, but a half a decade of being/living together hardly consititues a marraige, despite how they've marketed the relationship. Especially when there were many men who came after him.

As for the SYW album cover. Ummm, why WOULDN"T the two leads be on the cover together? FM has been marketed as a "soap opera" band since Rumours. And of course they're going to try to keep that ancient drama alive in any and all future albums they do together. Thanks for the attack, but no-thanks.

I'm not hear to cause drama, and my comment was in no way to attack anyone on this board, it was something that I noticed on Buckinghamnicks.com, and I felt compelled to make note of it. This is a very exciting year for all of us, and I hate to get off on the wrong foot, but I will always say what I think, and defend it. And if there's a difference of opinion, I shall handle it as an adult. That's what discussion boards are about, right?

Since she keeps saying that songs are about him, I don't see what's so foolish about it. She just said that Everybody Loves You is about him -- at least her part of it is, according to her.

Granted, that's an easy answer for her. She probably says a song is about him when she doesn't want to reveal who it's really about, when she can't remember what it's really about, and when she knows it's an amalgamation of everything and nothing and just thinks "Lindsey" is a quick, pat answer.

But since she has gone around non-stop from the 80s today saying that she is constantly writing songs about him, it's no surprise to me that fans continue to think both old and new songs are, indeed, about him.

Oh definitely, especially when you consider what she has said about thinking she was God (Celestia). "I said I was going to put God away; she's been here awhile."

And since he was dating her while on tour, "the band played on" fits. She said they had fun, but when she joined him on the road she was visiting Lindsey's life and not living her own and I can see the band playing on meaning that he continued to tour and indulge in his music while their budding relationship just fell by the wayside.

The song may not only be about her, but I certainly think it touches on her growing dementia from that period. And I think Miranda references the abuse she says she suffered at her father's hands.

You (and anyone else who does it) will repeatedly be called out for spelling band members' names incorrectly, esp. Lindsey's. Just so you know.

She said she was sexually abused by her father as a child. She talked about that in her Barbara Walters interview and her book too. I think "She sees her father holding her down," applies.

In her book, she also discussed having a split personality and, having been raised as a fundamentalist Christian, her alter ego was someone named Celestia who actually thought she was God. I think that would be Come territory. She also came to believe she could fly. At one point, she says, "and then I leapt with all my might" and it reminded me so much of Miranda, "dying with all of her might."

I also think that her need for attention back then defines the line, "she sticks the camera right into her arm" and can't stand to be loved, but she loves to be seen.
