![]() I do love how passionate everyone is about Stevie's music. It's very reassuring to know that we're all together in that |

I like "Secret Love" a lot, but I'm not sure how I feel about it being the opening track! I've loved ALL of Stevie's opening songs thus far. They have all set the tone for the record and blew me away. Secret Love doesn't really blow me away. It's a nice song, but doesn't feel like an "opener". Does this makes sense?

Yes, I'm a bit shocked seeing SL as the opening song as well. "Moonlight - A Vampires Dream" just feels like a great opening just from the short clip. And I could have sworn that Stevie said in a recent interview(either in print or the radio ones) that it was indeed the 1st track on the record. Maybe, they switched stuff around at the last moment. However, on the positive side - Secret Love is a good solid & short accessible ditty to draw you into the record easily. And having Moonlight segue after New Orleans does kinda seem appropriate, with all the ghosts, voodoo & vampires associated with New Orleans folklore.

This Rolling Stone article from last fall says that "For What It's Worth" is a Mike Campbell track.

Looks good to me.
I don't mind the tracklisting sequence. I tend to change them around in my Itunes to suite the order the way my ears want to hear them. I wonder if Secret Love's ending merges into For What It's Worth a la TISL-Candlebright.

I don't know. I have my doubts about this being the official track listing. I'm sure all these songs are on there, but I would be surprised if they fell in that order.

![]() But I know what you mean; I got a huge Eurythmics vibe from it, like their 1989 song "Angel"... Or "The Miracle Of Love". |

So we know Cheaper Than Free was decided to be added to IYD late last year, therefore potetially tossing 2 tracks off the record. So it looking like we could get 2 bonus tracks, unless Stevie & Dave's info has been inaccurate, or we've been taking it too literally.![]() |

I liked the sequence as I heard it--Stevie referred to For What It's Worth as "the train song" because of its train like rhythm..I liked it alot as it had an alt-country feel. IYD I loved and thought these three back-to-back sounded killer and very fresh. I did not like the Moonlight song at first...it does not have that big driving feel throughout like the snippet...it seemed long and a little sluggish before it built to what you hear in the video. It's cool other people like it though. I did grow on me but it was not one of the stronger songs on the record IMO.

Dave Stewart himself said For What Its Worth was his favorite song on the album, which is saying a lot considering he cowrote half teh album and picked one of the few songs he didn't.
I believe Stevie will have 4 songs that just say written by Stevie Nicks not 3. She said she wrote 9 with Dave and 7 of them are on the album. Then there's 2 with Mike. So that leaves 4. I'm gonna guess they are Secret Love, New Orleads, Soldiers Angel and Italian Summer. Or maybe Moonlight is in and one of those 4 is out. Not that it matters to me what songs say what, really it's weird that some songs give Stevie sole credit when they are still transfromed quite a bit by other people. It's all psychological for Stevie and for us. BUT I belive this will be her first album ever where EVERY song will have her name next to it either alone or as a cowrite. That's really impressive.

![]() And it's interesting to hear D.S.'s favorite song is FWIW, I hadn't heard that he said that. Perhap's it because he's in an alt. country frame of mind with The Blackbird Diaries. None the less, it gives me another song to look forward to, as well as the so called "catchy" title track. I'm predicting that this album will blow most of us away ![]() And it is exciting that this will be a 1st for Stevie - to have songwriting credit on every single song on the record.
