I had 4th row for the dance. Lindsay waved to me! I'm still thrilled about that!

I had the same 4th row seats for TISL, but she cancelled because she was sick. I was at work when I found out, and cried so bad, I had to leave work to go home and compose myself. So I bought 11th row for Cleveland, and the damn guards would'nt let me to the stage to shake her hand. Again, I cried like a baby and my hubby had to drive home. All he could say is "I'm so sorry, honey..."

Dammit, I will either meet or shake that womans hand before I die.

I 'm almost crying just thinking about it...

Now that's the kind of thing that could pick a person up on a bad day. I can see why you framed it.
The thing about Stevie, she always comes across as special and makes each fan feel special as well. This is proof.
Of course, when it's my turn, I'm bringing a whole friggin' tablecloth so she has room to write more.

Well, I did post a review of this show at the Nicksfix, which details the concert experience, but doesn't really mention much about meeting Stevie.

My pal and I had both met her before, but it is always a surreal and almost out-of-body experience. It's like meeting a character out of book. But then again, it isn't. Because, Stevie is about the most genuine, down to earth celebrity I have ever met. Unlike many performers I deal with (professionally), she looks you in the eye, listens, and is actually interested in what you have to say. Plus, she is very funny.

I think at this event, since it was mostly industry people, the guests hadn't heard the record. And, probably weren't real fans either. But, of course we had heard it, and the demos, quite some time before the show. Stevie was delighted to hear the feedback and seemed really interested in talking about the production, song structure, changes from demos, etc. Everything people say about her energy is true - you feel you have known each other forever. It is uncanny. She is so kind and warm. She thanked US for coming, hugged us and told us to take care of ourselves. Of course we pretty much floated home.

Another cool thing about this night was talking to Lori, who was thrilled we could hear her on the record and that we missed her on tours. But, as she said, she is very busy being a mom and that is where she should be. Again, what a tremendously nice woman.

I get all goofy just thinking about that night. It was really something. Sometimes, things fall into place, and life can feel like a perfect dream. That was one of those nights.

I have never had the pleasure of meeting her, but everything you write somehow rings true.
And I've always loved Lori. I'm glad you were able to tell her she is missed.
