I personally like what I've seen. Yes there are quick cuts, but that is NOT a new concept, especially in this day & age. Yes there is a lot of Dave, but let's remember that this is HIS project too. He's a big part of it. He co-wrote 7 of these songs for goodness sake.

Can't wait to see the real thing!

This, plus I think I'll suspend any kind of critique until I see the video presented in synch with the song track, as intended, as Jamie pointed out. Also, part of some people's perception could be somewhat skewed after seeing the seductively stunning "sizzle reel" unveil friday. It's like we got high on crack, and we're now strung out, waiting for our next unreachable fix.

I like it. I think it makes a serious artistic statement about the nature of love. Sacred love. Profane love. Altruism. Objectivism.
Even Lolly thinks so.

I noticed that too.

Didn't she once say it was like riding a bike? Once you learn, you don't forget how to do it?

I disagree. I think music videos are more important now than they ever were? Why? Because back in the day, to see a music video you had to wait for it to come on MTV or VH1 or you had to own it on VHS. And if you were an artist, the only way you got people to see your video was if they happened to be watching a channel that it aired on. Now we have access to any music video at the tip of our fingers. People can watch it when they want and how many times they want and they can choose to share it with others. If it isn't good, it gets lost, but if it kicks ass it can spread like wildfire. Not to mention you can now make more money off of music videos. Anytime someone views your video, it is more money in the bank for you. Not to mention there are still channels that play music videos. MTV and VH1 themselves barely play any music videos, but their alternate channels such as MTVHits and VH1 Classic play a constant stream of music videos 24/7.

As for this music video, I think the distance, poor quality, and it not being in sync make it difficult to judge this video. Therefore, I am reserving my judgement for when I actually see the video.

I watched the first 10 seconds of this video, but decided to not watch anymore. Because like John said, I'm gonna reserve my judgement for the time when I get to watch the whole video in good quality & in when it's nicely in sync. I believe it will be really good, love the imagery & vibes that Dave has pulled out of the hat so far....& I would love anything Stevie did ♥

I agree with this. If we can only get people to just see Stevie's new trailer.

Very sharp assessment, I agree totally. Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo, YouTube (esp.YT) etc., have made the music video format relevant & fashionable again. Arguably , it could be more important now than ever to compete and get noticed in a big way for an artist. I've always said after Gypsy, Stevie never really fully capitalized or peaked in the video format on her wondrous image or rich imagery that her music, voice and lyrics evoke. Dave keenly knew what he had in an artist like Stevie Nicks, and it seems like they used what resources they could to wisely give Stevie fans as thrilling ride as possible.

I wonder why they aren't playing this right before she takes the stage during this tour??

Don't forget Palladia. They play like a 6 hour block 0f videos in the wee hours.
