I'm home and I've started to upload video. Going to take awhile, but at least try to get one or two up tonight if the you tube gods are with me.

I have a wonderful time and I"m really happy I went. Stevie definitely was really in hig spirits and truly made me feel like she wanted to be no other place than on stage singing to us.

I'm going add on the comments.

Started to watch it but saw it was just the same Dave Stewart nonsense (with lots of Dave Stewart in it) and I stopped watching.

I was trying so hard to capture the video that the performance was lost on me. But I know I was hoping to heard "salvation", but no.....it was still a good performance and she said something like, " a new song...finally...I know!" The video I hope to post doesn't give the audio justice. She sounded so GOOD on this and really on everything.

I know what you mean. It just seemed very routine. I was hoping she would go up on the "What you had, what you lost" after the second verse, but she didn't. And I know what you mean about the FM thing. As much as Waddy nails it, he's just not Lindsey.

I enjoyed this. I really like the sound of Waddys guitar playing on this just as much as when its done by FM. I got some video of the wails hopefully.

A couple of high kicks here got the crowd going too. I was so darn happy to see that in her cute ankle boots. You knew who the Stevie fans were. They were the ones standing and cheering. I'm with you on the Rod fans. There we A LOT! But I was happy to see that the arena mostly filled when Stevie came on.

After seeing the Mac perform this three times last year, just wasn't up to snuff. Maybe it was cuz of my crappy seat, but first time I didn't tear up during the song. Oh and she sang part of it in a way I've never heard before, was really pretty. I'll try to think of what the line was.
To me this song is Stevie and Lindsey's. Bu she's probably perfomed it more solo in the past 10 years than with FM. Or at least close, so she probably has somewhat disassociated it as a FM song. She seemed kind of somber introducing it and i was happy to not have to have another Glee reference. She dedicated the song to the MSG audience.

But I actually did almost tear up cause I haven't been to a show where she had the pics of her family and her younger self in the background. I know it's been aound for 4 years now, but it was my first time seeing it and i just felt that it was so special to share somethign pretty personal with us.

But I was saving up good graces so that I could rock out to EO17. Shortly after I was rocking out I feel a hand grab my arm. I turned around and the lady next to me pointed to a lady a few rows behind (surely enough on stadium seating to not be overly blocked by me. I'm a dwarf). Anyway, she says: "SIT DOWN!!!!" And I was about to go jumping over the seats to beat her face in, but then I didn't. I just turned around and kept dancing, acting as if nothing had happened, but it really killed my buzz. People are crazy; she didn't care. The big screen was right by us and easily seen. She just wanted to complain. Why go to a rock concert if you don't want people to stand?! Anyway, my dancing must have been really noticeable cuz I also saw people on the floor seats looking up at me and pointing. I believe Stevie saw me. I don't think she did. I just really do believe.
I'm so happy you stood up to the blue hair specials and fought for your right to rock out. I ended up sitting on the top of my chair for a good chunk of the show cause every one around me was sitting. Total buzzkill. I was surrounded by Rod fans. But they were enjoying Stevie, just not the diehard chiffonheads we are.

Anyway, EO17...I love this song, I love this song live, I love the surge of energy that erupts when you hear this. Last year when i was at stage-gate at the Taj Mahal, I missed out on enjoying this, so on some level I was glad there wasnt an edge walk that i missed out on again. She really rocked out to this at the end and got a huge ovation. More video on that too hopefully.

Again, here I about teared up again. Shout ut to Dani cause I thought of her at that moment. She sang that song so tenderly and with so much care. I just was overwhelmend with feeling the emotion that has to be behind that song...side note...has it ever been confirmed exactly who that's about?

She ended with the pray for the world thing, which didn't bother me one bit. Thought it was just a little spirtual message. No mention of her new album coming out in May and she didn't introduce the band, which i thought was odd. But maybe the double bill thing left no time for that.

I LOVED his stage. It was so bright and just drew you in. And you could SEE up there. Ok, so his band...thought his drummers rocked and loved the girls on the saxophone and trumpet.

Now the fringed mini numbers and synchronized girlie dancing and singing...can I just say I was channeling Ally McBeal a little? I swear it reminded me of some of thse bar scenes. HEHE.

I'm not a Rod fan by any means. I'd never go see him by himself, I usually turn his stuff off when it comes on the radio and I find him rather full of himself. Having said all that, he is very entertaining and on a scale of 1-10 his stage performance is about a 10. Just full of energy and vigor. Unlike you know the past few years. By the end of the show I was enjoying myself....a lot...didn't think I would. I agree that the singing...not so much...it was more of the show that was entertaining.

I had forgotten this song even existed to the mention of Stevie singing with him surfaced in ATL. Not a vocal performance for the books, but she really did look like she was having fun singing and dancing up there. Sooo cute. I have some pics to post. But can we say, the chemistry (really lack thereof) between the two is so astounding. It's almost like being in 3rd grade where you have to hold the hand of someone of the opposite sex and you think the world is going to end. Guess who that made me miss her on stage with.

THAT was the visual of the evening--the Stevie visual of MY Dreams. I wish Dave Stewart would take note.
I totally agree. I said it last night. The way she looks, dances, leans in and out with the girls....ug..it made her look like it was 1977 all over again. Half her age....seriously...

Anyway, I had a blast and now of course I need to figure out how to see her solo in May.

I promise...videos and pics to come!!!
