Well, I've been holding out on that in case other dates were announced nearer where I live (Edinburgh). But if there's no word forthcoming within the next week or so, then I'll probably try and get a couple of tickets. I don't think it's sold out or anything yet? Are you going?

You bet your ass I am . I've waited bloody years for a Stevie solo date in the UK. Even if this is a festival, I wouldn't miss it for the world!

Hmm, yes. I'm kind of catching your fever now. Might have to check the piggy bank for a trip to the big smoke after all.....

I hope so. Stevie and Tom Petty just rubs me very wrong. Didn't he say something like he loved Stevie, but she was like one of your strange relatives that you have to put up with?

Besides the being married thing, I wouldn't mind if it was Rick Vito. I always kind of liked that guy.

I doubt it was about Tom, but Stevie never said the relationship was sexual either.

this line cracked me up! Especially when her stories abut the past change ! Gotta love Mama!
I caught that too. Yeah, her mind is a steel trap.

I never bought that she was ever involved with Petty romantically either.

Of course, I have IYD on pre-order from Warner, so I will get a copy with the US release, but I will certainly be doing my bit for UK sales and buying a copy of it with the official UK release. I will probably end up giving this copy to my Dad, but still :P
Why do record companies do this stupid sh*t? It seems to me that if the album is released in the US on May 3, the people in the UK who want the new Stevie album aren't going to sit on their hands for a month and a half and would probably resort to illegally downloading it.

I think the general record buying Stevie fan, not a die hard fan, wouldn't even know Stevie had an album out in May. If all the promotion in the UK is done with a June release date, your average record buying public won't think to check if it's out elsewhere already

Three months of misguided marriage! I understand why she considers herself "never married." It was just a blip in time.

And about the rumoured Tom Petty relationship: was he already divorced at that time? Not that a marriage would stand in the way of Stevie getting what she wants!
