^Exactly!

By the way, as I best I can remember Rod's set list, this is the placement of the duets in his set for those interested:

Love Train
Tonight's the Night
Having a Party
Passion - duet w/ Stevie
Young Turks - duet w/ Stevie
First Cut is the Deepest
Heartache
Forever Young
Rhythm of my Heart
Downtown Train
You're In My Heart
I Get a Kick Out of You (Cole Porter cover) - dropped
Proud Mary
Have I Told You Lately That I Love You
Hot Legs
Maggie May
Do Ya Think I'm Sexy

Maybe TwistedGypsy can confirm.

These duets are great! I wonder if they may change it up and do a duet of a Stevie song though, but please not Stand Back...

Default Love Is

I'm uploading Love Is right now. I taped it on my ipod and it's the new Beauty and the Beast. I love it when she strips down songs. It is really beautiful.

Yeah, that looks right. Since I wasn't so concerned about Rod I stepped out during intermission and had a cig and right when I got back to my seat he introduced Stevie.

I'm reading the posts from that review and she is not getting the good reviews this time, he is.

Don't people know this is his concert? I mean it's not exactly fair and it's not fair to her if he refuses to rehearse. She is also singing songs that people are not familiar with and he's just singing all his hits.

^Eh. Everyone's a critic, right? But, out of 26 comments, a couple of bad reviews and a lot of "ok" and a few who enjoyed seeing legends together - the reviews weren't as bad as I thought they might be.

I still maintain it was a great show and totally worth seeing. I accept Stevie and her limitations and I thought she was doing her best to overcome. She's not an "entertainer", she's a songwriter who sings, a stylist. I mean, she does what she does. It's clear the older she gets she is into the more calm, mellow side of things. That's ok. That's where she is. Also, I think she is way more comfortable when she can rely on others to carry more of the weight - ie: Lindsey, Petty, Henley and Rod...it takes the pressure off her and doesn't make her weaknesses so obvious...

What's your point? I've seen a million concerts of singers but only a handful have truly been entertainers... and I've only seen Stevie twice solo. I'm just basing my opinion on my observations and the others I've read. I've never heard anyone claim that she was an outstanding "show woman" ...

There are several of those that I would hardly call a "tour"...the "NOT A TOUR" thing being the prime example. Also, her stint at Caeser's Palace...and the Millennium shows. I also would consider the Two Voices and Gold Dust tours the same thing.

she was outstanding show woman, geesh I saw her in 1994 and she put on a great concert, I just think she getting a bum rap, I didn't like her last year on the unleash tour, she has toured herself into a hole, it's not fresh for her, Rod has nothing to new offer, he has been doing the same old song and dance for almost 20 years. Maybe he should get criticized for not coming up with any new songs.

Ok, people interpret these things differently, I guess. You can put on a great concert (singing) and not move around at all. I wasn't being negative in my comments about her performances. And, you know what - you're right - she is an AMAZING show woman. But, she is not an entertainer. Rod is an entertainer. I'm not even a fan and that was obvious. It doesn't matter to me, I was just pointing out that she seemed more at ease being a PART of his show rather than being the front woman in hers. My observation. I was also reading into her own statements on her nerves and how she has said it's easier to be a part of a band or a group.

I get you. I just get tired of people saying she is old which some of the comments said.Rod is older, and he's not getting criticized at all for basically being creatively stale for 20 years. She is trying. I don't think Stevie should tour. Get us some new music now. She obviously wants to get something out creatively and she doesn't need the money. Her own management doesn't get it. Everyone is like grab the money and run. I'm sure one of the reasons she is doing this is just to promote her new material. At least she has new material.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the music business is the last great bastion of out-and-out barefaced sexism on the planet. I could puke coat hangers at what some of these guys get away with.
