Aaaaanyway, as for the music: everywhere from intriguing to ravishing.
I don't think it's bad, but I agree about Dave.

And it IS the teeth that's bugging me, not really the vampire theme. It's not magical & whimsical, it's more violent & scary. Not Stevie-ish to me.

I just balled my eyes out for 10 minutes because I am so happy! All four of these songs are absolutely incredible! The second I heard Annabell Lee I was beyond thrilled. I love the demo but this version blows the demo right out of the water. Dave Stewart really knows what us Stevie fans want to see. This sizzle reel is priceless!

I'm sitting here wondering if that long ass note she holds at the end was really one take. That note is 15 seconds long. She can only do about 8-10 seconds on her EO17 wail.

Still beautiful though.

I still haven't heard any of this yet , but that scene at the end reminds me of the last scene of Yentl, where Barbra Streisand is singing, "Papa, watch me flyyyyyyyyyy........." and the camera pans back from the boat and shows the panorama of New York Harbor. It has that grand, old Hollywood epic feel to it.

Another thing that strikes me is that all of this feels so much more intimate because we are getting this very inside glimpse into Stevie's world... literally!

-'I am Stevie Nicks." It was lame--and already lampooned--when Spike Lee did it. And it remains lame. Many layers of offensive in this context.

This worries me. Dave is not the man to handle Stevie's visual persona. Too bad she and the Mac are too cheap (or broke) to afford music video greats.

Aaaaanyway, as for the music: everywhere from intriguing to ravishing.

I am unsure if I like it better than the demo - will have to hear the entire tune. I do like that there are harmonies in there.

I think it's 1 take. May have taken her 15 tries, but I think it's really her holding it that long.

I love it! She looks amazing, she sounds good, I do like the vampires, I just love it, I don't know what else to say!

I've been lurking for some time now, and I really had nothing special to say, but the trailer really made me come in out of the darkness. I was supporting Secret Love from the day it was out, although I didn't like it that much. I was just happy to see Stevie making new music. To me Secret Love lacks the "Stevieness", and all this time I was afraid that the rest of the album may sound like that, or even worse. Now I know that this is going to be a PERFECT ALBUM, and I just can't wait anymore.

I'm thrilled. The songs, the production, her voice, even the goofy visuals. Including Dave's tap dance. It doesn't take itself too seriously.

IDK if I ever heard her hold a note that long outside of WICYF.

I think it is 16 counts and no vibrato. Wow.

I never expected it to be this good.

Yeah, I'm with you. I really like the production of the songs and the drama of it all. He knows how to produce her voice and this album sounds soo rock to me.
