Hmm but no duets on her songs? Weird... I thought for sure they would do Stop Draggin My Heart Around!

Glad to hear they did some duets tonight. I went to the Tampa show last night. I thought Stevie was very good. She seemed to be having a good time and much more energy then on the "Unleashed" Tour. Basically I only went to see Stevie but decided to go buy a couple of those 22 ounce beers they were selling and listen to Rod's performance. Besides that I had made friends with some people in FL2 Row 16, 17 and 18. Great girls! and couple of guys too. Anyways to my utter surprise Rod's performance was fantastic. I really enjoyed it. The stage was nice and all the musicians were really into it. We were dancing the entire set, nothing like I expected. I hope I can catch another show on this tour, it was so much fun.

I got all of Passion and Young Turks on video! So glad she came out for some duets! Let me tell you guys something...if you are there to see a Stevie show (yes, she way great) but it's a Rod show. His stage blew Stevie's away, I think he changed more than she did and his background players were great! I loved everything Stevie did and Love Is was a HUGE highlight. Just her, the piano and Sharon and Lori. GDW was great as usual, Stand Back and Edge were spot on. What's funny after all these years Waddy still has to count her in on Edge. But anyways its worth it and Stevie did great as usual but she could pick up a think or 2 from Rod.
But when she danced with his background singers it was AMAZING!!!! She had all their moves down. I'm going to post but it will probably be tomorrow since I've had a few libations.
Rock On!!!!!!!!

That sounds sensational. When she did the dance under the strobe lights at Tom Petty's show and we saw move with that staccato effect, I thought it was so great that she should recreate it in one of her own concerts.

The way you described her moving in synch with Rod's dancers gets me thinking the same thing.

YAY! Thanks for letting us know you got BOTH on video!! I'll be looking for it tomorrow.

It's nice to have something to look forward to after these long Stevie dry spells.

It's his show. Of course, he has to have the better stage. I doubt she has anything to learn from him, especially since he's basically been a lounge act for 20 years. He could learn from her to get his ass in the studio and start making new music.

I got Secret Love too. Besides Love Is when she joined in with the background singers it was great! You could tell they really enjoyed singing with her too and kind of showed her the way.

Y'all, this show was seriously AMAZING. I loved every minute of it. It's the perfect balance. Stevie has the intensity and Rod just puts on a fun, upbeat show. I was not a Rod fan, but I have to say - he is a fantastic performer. It was a blast.

I saw Stevie being led out to stand behind Lenny's drums and I wasn't sure what was going on until the girl behind me started going nuts because she saw Rod. Quickly, he introduced her saying she was "one of the greatest rock voices - an icon" (or iconic voices, something like that) and the crowd really gave her a big cheer. Here's a little commentary on each song:

FFG was an excellent opener.
Secret Love - this video is so cool! I could do without Dave in it so much but it's still a very Stevie-vibe thing. To me, it captures the whole mystique more than any other video she's done. I would have recorded but the security lady was two chairs away from me and was really watching everyone still this early in the show. Stevie seemed really into this song and did an extra little vocal thing ad-lib at the end that I dug. Hope I can pick it out from the recordings. OH, and there were several people around me and in the arena really that knew the song. Good sign, I thought! One lady said, "oh this is my new favorite song!"
If Anyone Falls - People knew this song and were into it, dancing. The crowd seemed to get into the nostalgia of the old videos and were cheering every time a shot of her in the prime came up. Stevie was spot on.
Dreams - I think she introduced this song, briefly. Everyone into it, dancing.
Sorcerer - Stevie introduced it as "when Lindsey and I first moved to LA" again.. hehehe .. People sat down but it was good.
Gold Dust Woman - This brought the house down! Excellent version! One of my all-time fav performances. She did the "baby, baby, babys".
Stand Back - Crowd shaker.
Rhiannon - She went off right before and then came back to the soft piano intro. There was fire twirling/dancing girl in the video. And, I think also in this a girl in water. Very cool looking. Stevie took the gloves off here and for the jewelry people she had rings on.
Landslide - she dedicated it to "us" because she wanted to give us some "peace and love" to our lives or hearts. She seemed a little melancholy at this point. It was the video tribute to her Dad.
Edge of Seventeen - Waddy did not have a 150 minute guitar intro...Stevie was not hearing good at the beginning and the entire song was off by about half a beat , but everyone was into it and really rocking out. During the "Edge Walk" part she went to each side of the stage, smiling, waving and took a nice long bow. Then she shook the girls hands, and went to each band member and stood by them or in front, shook their hand or patted them. The video behind had a real dove - I don't remember that from the one other solo show I saw. Also, I think at the end of this she threw her hair all the way over to the front and then back again. It was a great visual effect and everyone was cheering.
Rock and Roll - cut.
Love Is - encore, she explained about the 3 ballads and sort of sadly said, this would be the last ballad of her life.

Stevie was SO into it! I've never seen her this good. She was moving around more - even if a lot of it is hand motions - she's obviously limited, wearing the boks again, but still she was moving, swaying and smiling. She said how much they loved Atlanta, that 10 years ago she and Lori & Sharon basically lived here for 3 months and that they decided the most beautiful women live in Atlanta. Thanks, Stevie!

The band bowed and then she did a Mick sort of speech - take care of yourselves and each other and pray, pray, pray for the world!

When Rod brought her out for the two songs, he gave her a really sweet introduction again - using a lot of adjectives - volumnous, voluptuous, etc. And, she came back out in pants. Rod said Stevie chose these two songs to do and they did Passion first. She seemed to REALLY love this song. She was totally into it, dancing and moving - ok dancing may be stretching it but she was moving a lot and when Rod came to her to sing together he seemed to draw her out more in an upbeat way. She looked like she was having a ball. It was so fun! Then, on Young Turks the same - and she was really having a good time with his back up singers. It was such a great performance! I'm so glad I got to see this and I recommend all Stevie fans to go catch a show on this tour if you can. It is not a let-down at all! High-energy, fun and excellent performances.
