I think you misinterpreted the quote the one jondalar posted said "he " needs to hang it up..meaning Rod .I do agree though that La Nicks needs to focus on recording instead of the interminable tours.

Normally, I would say that she's nowhere near close to having to hang it up.

However, the fact that she has been relying on the same setlist since 2005, and it's taken her 10 years to do anything something new creatively...then if that pattern continues, then I think that she should absolutely hang it up, touring-wise. I would never want her to stop recording new music...but only if she doesn't wait another ten years.

I'm still holding out hope that if/when there is a proper "In Your Dreams" tour, she might shake things up a bit. I'm expecting, at most 4-5 new songs...and, god willing, maybe one or two older songs to surprise us. "Love Is" was a decent surprise back in the August 2010 shows...but what was the last "treat" before that? Beauty and the Beast/If Anyone Falls/How Still back in 2005 (or was it 2007?). Granted, we did get "Storms" for the Unleashed tour.

I'm just rambling now. Out of frustration.

I don't know. I have a feeling there will be a bad twist this year. Maybe Rod will battle sickness for the next month or something else will go wrong. I'm already sick of waiting on the video. This album is starting to be more of a chore then a gift. All the waiting and still don't know if it's worth it. I can't believe the video or tease is not out yet. The only people who are waiting for it are her hardcore fans. Why treat it as an event, when the only people who care are us? Get it out there already.

I don't want her to EVER hang up recording .

But like you said, unless she majorly shakes up her touring act, I just don't get what the point is anymore. She'll add 3 new songs at MOST if she does a proper solo IYD tour. She won't change anything else... we'll have no other album rarities on top of the new IYD songs.

I wanted so badly to hear Storms live a couple of years back, but just couldn't justify $175 for ONE song. Because otherwise, it was same sh!t different day. I mean, I was sooo glad she pulled that song outta the dustbin, and Beautiful Child back in '03. Same with Love Is last year. But ONE lowly album cut per year is just pitiful and downright infuriating.

Yeah, well lots of thing are bugging about the way things are going. I'm going to try to stop kicking that football. Way too much energy on probably another disappointment.

Totally understandable. We appreciate everything tonight. The wait will make it more exciting! Your video will be the first Secret Love video recording (since we did not get the official release yet... grumble, grumble, grumble.....), so seeing the concert footage will be like magic.

Everything will rest and fall on how this album sounds when we get it in less than 6 weeks. If it is really her best album since The Wild Heart and as good as I think it might be ,at least for this fan of 25 years all will be forgiven.

Everyone knows this Rod- tour thing is a money grab, as callous as that sounds. Teaming artists together is common these days, as we all know, because the economy sucks and everyone wants more bang for their buck.

I bet the solo gigs will have more variety because she will a) have more time on stage, and b) be more willing to do more brand new material because it'll be closer to the album drop.

I bet the crew have nicer t shirts than that thing. I think I love the BATB shirt though. The whole secrecy with the new songs and album is starting to border on ridiculous. It drops in a month.
