It is on her website where I saw the add asking for suggestions for guests. As I recall there was a link to key in your info and type a brief letter. I don't know if it is still ongoing or not but when I sent the letter I never thought that anything like this would happen.

If Stevie were to get a spot on her show, it'd definitely be a real coup for Stevie and her fans .
Oh wow, I can't imagine a chat-show host having that sort of power, that's sorta insane.

Still, Stevie going on Oprah should be a really good move for her then, especially if it's just before the album drops

Christ...I hope they don't turn this into a "look at how much Stevie's fans love her" sort of segment...home video footage of people dressed up like Stevie in their bedrooms covered with Stevie posters and candles and crystals and incense.

Oh christ. I'd def fill that form out but I so do not want to meet Stevie on the goddamn Oprah show. I mean I'd be a nervous wreck meeting Stevie anywhere, but on national TV? I'd friggin die!

I wonder if they are trying to find out how many people are out there to justify it?

Any publicity that fans can generate is a worthwhile endeavor. Of course, we'd all love to see a Oprah conduct a substantial interview with Stevie, but even a segment regarding her fanbase will still be seen by 6 million viewers. It's the #5 syndicated show in the U.S.
Fingers crossed for Oprah, and performances on American Idol (average aud. 24 million ), Dancing with the Stars (average aud. 22 million), etc.

Oprah is massively influential. I think every book she has featured in her "book club" has become an instant bestseller. There is a segment of the population that literally hangs on every word she says.

That's my fear as well. Though, it can be somewhat charming, but we all saw how that VH1 fan show turned out in 2001.

I would really just love 4 Stevie to be featured - in all her glory, and having an in depth, terrific and *revealing* interview with Oprah, perhaps sharing something she has never shared before. And equally prominent, have Oprah celebrate & acknowledge Stevie's legend and legacy going into her 5th decade in the music inductry. Top it off with 2 performance's by Stevie, something classic, and something new - celebrating the return of Stevie and her career masterpiece of a new album.

But if it is a fan related show, I genuinely hope the fans bring it! Bring some terrific and heartfelt stories, and a strong demographic diversity of fans is represented.
