Same here! It's akin to reading a book on Kindle (or whatever it's called) verses holding the book in your hands, smelling the paper, turning the pages...just a more intimate experience. Granted, I can see the convenience of taking a Kindle on a long plane flight, but if it was book I love, I'd also want the physical edition.

I can't be bothered with CDs or books any more since the ipod & Kindle. I hate clutter and it's just something else to find room for. And digital is so much more convenient. I've gotten rid of 80% of my CDs at this point.

I'll most likely download In Your Dreams from Amazon or iTunes.

I thought I thought that way about books but in all honesty the Kindle was the greatest purchase I've ever made in my entire life.

It's not backlit, so it's not like reading a book on a computer screen. They've really done a great job at simulating the experience of reading a book--except now you can control the font size. The pleasure of turning a page has been replaced by the sense of accomplishment when you compress the arrow button on the side, under your thumb, where you've been holding it the whole time. It's light. It fits in your pocket (in dress pants).

That's not even the best part. As has been said, it removes the need for book clutter. I get rid of my books usually; now I'll have them in my pocket for the rest of my life!

Buying books is brilliant now: no more going to book stores with their limited selections, no more ordering from Amazon and waiting two days during which time you've moved on from wanting to read the book. Now, you order on amazon and instantaneously it appears on your Kindle.

But even better than the best part: It's totally revolutionized the way I interact with a book. I have some books with extensive marginalia, but in my old age, I often don't have a pen on me or I'm not in the mood so I had taken to folding pages to point out significant passages--my books look like oragami, but with the kindle it's so easy to highlight passages and write extensive marginalia.

If I could figure out how to easily and regularly back up my music files, I'd totally switch to iTunes-only. But for now, I still often buy CDs so I have the back up. But I do throw away the cd booklet and case.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.
