Default The Ledgies favorite Demos List

Here is how the songs fell with the amount of points after. I honestly didn't think we have almost 50 demos.

1. All the Beautiful Worlds- 137
2. Lady From the Mountain- 97
3. If You Were My Love- 85
4. The Dealer (Mistress of My Fate)- 77
5. Julia- 64
6. Blue Water- 61
7. Three Birds of Rhiannon (Maker of Birds)- 57
8. Space Needle- 54
9. Forest of the Black Roses- 53
10. She Loves Him Still- 52
11. China Doll- 49
12. Joan of Arc- 47
13. Mistaken Love (Forsaken Love)- 46
14. Chanel Chanel- 38
15. Watchdevil- 34
16. Cecilia- 33
17. My Heart- 26
18. Spinning Wheels- 25
19. 24 Karot Gold- 24
20. Love and War (Mixdown)- 23
21. Castaway- 22
22. Sanctuary- 21
23. ooh Baby- 18
24. Baby Doll- 17
25. Have No Heart- 17
26. Belle Flower- 15
27. City of Hope- 15
28. At the Fair- 14
29. Something Exquisite- 11
30. My Love is Never Lost- 10
31. Cathouse Blues- 9
32. Love You Enough- 9
33. Night Gallery- 8
34. Goldfish and the Ladybug- 8
35. Is Anybody There- 8
36. Without You- 7
37. Jimmy Come Back- 7
38. Anabell Lee- 6
39. Starshone- 5
40. One More Tommorrow- 5
41. Rock a Bye Baby- 4
42 What has Rock N Roll Ever Done For You- 4
43. Amber- 3
44. She Calls You Missing- 2
45. Call On Me For Magic- 2
46. Dial the Number- 2

All the Beautiful Worlds CRUSHED the competition. Although if Stevie never wrote another song and just did her next album based on our top 13 demos here, it wouldn't be a bad album. It even ends with Mistaken Love.

I would be a VERY happy camper to see all 13 of those demos on one album (in a perfect world, right?) because I love them all! However, now that LFTM is basically a new song (Moonlight) I don't think we can count on that one being rerecorded.

The right songs are in the top three, but, I never knew Stevie had so many great demos. Half of those on the list, I've never even heard of

Do yourself a favor and start downloading like crazy (all of them can be found in the demo thread) Seriously, you're missing out!

I decided that this list being made assumes IYD doesn't exist, and technically it doesn't yet. Secret Love does exist as a single, so it was excluded. This way we can compare what we fans like versus what Stevie chose to bring out of the vault. She got one right with our #2 choice but we like 37 demos better then Anabell Lee, whcih according to everyone who's heard the album is a highlight.

Wow... gotta say, there is a good 2-3 albums worth of killer material in this list! I'm not at all surprised All The Beautiful Worlds tops the list at this point in time. And would go on to add that despite the outtake having an incredible "Wild Hearted " vocal, I feel Stevie's modern voice would still do this song justice. Someone needs to float this list to Stevie ASAP! For her NEXT record.

She REALLY COULD release 3 or 4 more albums just by rerecording these demos. It won't happen, which is a shame. I can pull 15 personal favorites out of this list which, in my opinion, I think should be rerecorded and added to her catalog before she stops recording. But I have a sinking feeling that IYD is the end of the road, although I hope I'm wrong. MAYBE we'll get another Mac album.

However, if in fact there ISN'T anymore new material after IYD (solo or Mac) we still have these great demos, which we will always cherish. And isn't that better than not having them at all?
