Failed an exam for the first time this week, and then dropped the subject. Good job I'm not a Chemist

Sometimes failure is a blessing in disguise.

In my case yes, either I work my bum off on a subject I hate for the sake of 20 UCAS points, or spend that time working towards grade 8 which I love doing, which will get me either 55, 65, or 75 points and actually be useful in the long term since I want to go to music uni. I let myself get upset over it and it took me months to realise how dull I've been

At least you realise now that it's not for you and you can devote the gained time on things that will actually help you. After all, if you want to study Music, Chemistry doesn't make that much of an impact on your CV when they're reading through it. Not unless you're the Heston Blumenthal of the music world and would like to construct an explosive set of Drums made entirely out of Giraffe flavoured Jelly lol.

Hope Lindsey's not secretly a Ledgie or he'll read that and think "now THERE's something wacky I haven't tried"

I would say I agree, but in the same breath I would LOVE it if he did something like that on stage. Safely, of course Wouldn't want to lose Mr. Buckingham prematurely lol.

Considering the part time MA course is up to six years long (unfortunately that's right, no matter how ridiculous it sounds), I don't think sleep and me are going to be best friends for quite a while...

Jtis. It's past midnight and yet again sleep is nowhere in sight with me. The walls are beating as though in distress, the computer screen I'm staring at burning brightly with luminosity of ever changing colours. My skin is crawling, my eyes bulging with the threat of bleeding and the sound of my breathing in this otherwise silent room is threatening to shatter the fragile glass of my rained out window. I am omniscient. Omnipresent. Oblique. I need to sleep. There are too few hours in the day for so many hours I must fill in order to garner the least amount of success I am capable of. Hours. Days. Weeks. Months even. Awake in silent, lonely contemplation of my failings. What I lack and how what I strive to achieve is affected and adversely suffering because of it. I am a painter. But blind to life's colour. I am a friend. But most often happier in the company of I alone. I am a writer. But lazy to the point of destroying any evidence of my meagre endeavours. I am a trusting soul. But paranoid of everybody and in a constant state of fear of how they feel about me. I am a person. But annoying as ****. I am family. Yet I hate the one I came from. I need to sleep. I am lonely. Yet it is the fault of I alone. Bus stop beds. Park bench homes. A nightly ritual in hiding from that which makes me miserable. An act which only serves to send me to a newer level of purgatory. Rambling. It's what I do best. I speak. Because I can. I argue with myself. Because with me I don't agree. I rant and I rave. To an audience of one. I write bull**** posts while half asleep because sleep deprivation makes me even ****ing crazier than the usual recipe. Should have shut up a while ago. Yet I'm still typing. I need to sleep. Shut up Bee..
Well, Bee, ramble on you may do - but I've never heard anyone ramble in such a poetic, poignant and eloquent way.

Good luck with your application for your next course. My husband got his BSc Degree in Mathematics and Computing by doing a part-time course and it took him seven years while working full time - so it can be done. If you have the drive and the hunger for it then go for it!

Would a picture of Jesus without the beard and mustache be a collectors item?

With something like that, I'd say it was the artist's name that would decide whether it was collectible or not, rather than the subject matter. For example, there's bound to be a higher value if an artist like David Hockney or George Romney painted/drew it, rather than Joe Bloggs whom nobody has heard of. Art is like Celebrity in the sense that you're trading on a name, no matter how good the work actually is.

I did. I'll reply in the morning though because my eyelids are being held up by industrial strength tape at the moment lol.

No worries. I was just wondering if there was something wrong with my account.

Enjoy your sleep.
