I'm annoyed that my HTC Thunderbolt (4G) has been delayed -- like three or four times already!

[QUOTE=louielouie2000;947662]Would you buy a car without driving it because your neighbor once drove one around the block? The thing is, taste is highly subjective. Especially since those who attended the industry event probably had their opinions altered because they were in the room with Stevie herself. I'd argue that had they simply sat in a room alone listening to the songs, they would have come out with very different impressions. Jamie and Lindsay were excited because they were having a once in a lifetime experience... hence both have problems remembering exactly what songs were played, precisely what they sounded like, etc. I'm not begrudging them those things one bit. I probably would have lost bladder control and passed out from the excitement... and wouldn't have remembered ANYTHING .

My point is, those who are worried/annoyed/etc still very much have a right to be that way, in my opinion. Those who are uncontrollably excited and optimistic have that same right. To each their own .[/QUOTE

Well, let me first say that although I don’t remember exact details about each song I heard, I did remember their titles and if they were slower or faster type songs because I took notes while there. Second, although obviously excited, I went in there slightly worried about liking what I was about to hear. It was like, man - I hope Dave Stewart didnt screw this up. But I can totally honestly say that what I heard was incredible - excited or not. Everything is a matter of opinion, but I REALLY think you all will LOVE THIS RECORD!

I fall under the optimistic category. Hell, we've waited this long..what is a few more days.

Oh, and although I think Secret Love is a great song, it is NOT an indicator of the level of potential this record has. I'm guessing they picked it as the first single because it has a safe, pop feel to it. The other songs I heard were much more powerful.

You'll see.....

Thanks Jamie. It's good to reiterate, because although I think most of us like Secret Love, most of us also instinctively trust there is much more to In Your Dreams than this nice little slice of pop candy.

From all buzzworthy accounts & tidbits I'm really looking forward to hearing Moonlight, Italian Summer & Annabel Lee.

Actually yes I would if it were a brand new BMW...and Stevie is a Rolls Royce! So take that, ha!

The only actual things we've gotten for this album is a promo shot, a single, and the single cover. No videos, no promos, no clips, no tracklisting, no album cover, not even dates as to when to expect this stuff. Of course I will be excited when this comes out, but as of right now I think we all have the right to be fed up with their shenanigans.
Oh yes, because Stevie's intention in life is to purposely annoy her fans to no end making them wait endlessly with their tongues wagging begging for her to release another album right this second!
Just don't blame it totally on her. We really have no idea what goes on behind record label doors, just sayin'.

It isn't that she consciously does these things, it is the fact that she unconsciously does them and never seems to care to step up the pace. Yes, many things go on behind record label doors, but I highly doubt the record label had anything to do with her sitting on her hands until Feb of last year to make the record and then taking such a long ass time to record it. Dave Stewart did his in a week, yet they were recording her album all the way from Feb to November. Based on the fact that many artists make albums in much shorter times, yet Stevie is notorious for how long it takes her to make an album, I am going to bet most of the delay is on her shoulders. And even if that isn't the case, we have been hearing about a Secret Love video for weeks now, and we were told by Stevie's people that it would be out two weeks ago. Then we were told we'd see the sizzle reel in a few days, but then later told we wouldn't see it until after they dropped the SL video, which is now 2 weeks late. We were also told to watch Stevie perform her new single on Ellen and look for the single cover on Ellen, but then both statements were retracted. Not to mention the whole March is a good time to release an album and I don't want anyone to hear it until March 1 bs that flew out of Stevie's mouth in August. My point being that Stevie and her team suck at management and communication and some heads need to roll. If they are going to announce something, they need to make sure they have their facts right. Don't boast dates in our face if you don't have any intention of actually meeting them, and if you do have to delay something, don't just leave us hanging. Their ever continuing blunders and current lack of promotion drive me a little bat ****. I still love Stevie, but christ I wish I made as much money as her management/team does and was able to fail at my job so badly.

Touché darling, but...

... in Lindsay's (me) famous last words, LEAVE MY GIRL ALONE! I'm not defending her management or label, but you can't rush art. Just hold your effin horses! I say that out of love of course.

I sent Dave Stewart a tweet just a couple hours ago saying just that! Too funny.

Dude, you have no idea how cranky I am from this past work week! But I'm really cranky that I can't enjoy an ice cold Becks while listening to IYD or watching the new "Secret Love" video. Screw the Wad and Stevie Tour, I want a FULL ON IYD Tour with Stevie headlining, giving us some new songs along with all her classics!!
